So what can come out of this one-sided game tomorrow?
On the positive (and grasping at straws) side, this is Huxley’s chance to prove that we have a backup to Barnes, assuming Bernie’s knee can’t be put back together. If he’s ever going to look good at 10, this must surely be it.

Another positive is Cameron Shepherd getting a run. With one more injury he could become very important indeed and is probably the closest we’ve got to a top flight goal kicker. Would be good to see him in machine-like form.

So for the possible negatives. The biggest by far would be any injuries to any of the backs, first choice or back-up. Of those running on, Latham is the biggest worry. The compounding of his impact for the Wallabies at the back with the dickiness of his mending knee worries the hell out of me.

The other would be a shitty performance where we win by less than 30 points due to mixing up the team sheet. Low probability, but we need good momentum going into the pommy match which is shaping up to be a humdinger.
