Win/Win for all parties. Means Valentini can focus on the 8 role, room to get Samu back into Aus rugby while Rebels desperate for an 8. Would of been nice for Valentini to come home but the Brums have been good to him

I think you might be right MST, but I also think most people will think we're being a little disingenuous if we say so.

Definitely. Naisarani has looked OK, but Samu looks a level up on him. Better to have them where they can both be starters.
Different positions really we are comparing Valentini and Naisarani..Samu will habe the 6 locked down most likely had been with Naisarani but will now be Valentini..still an awesome backrow..

I know, but I'm agreeing Samu is probably a better "player", and there's a lot of upside with Valetini, so you're better off.

He signed a one year contract, has been available for more games than pretty much any of the Brumbies backrowers and has been one of their best all season.

Hard to be too critical of that.

Naisarani never really replicated his form with the Force although showed glimpses of it earlier in the season. With Samu, Valetini, Cusack, McCaffrey, and Pocock the Brumbies will still have a very powerful back row. Hopefully, Naisarani can regain form with Wessels and contest for a spot in the World Cup squad when he's available.

From a Wallaby perspective it's probably a good thing that the Brumbies don't have so many talented backrowers some have to sit on the bench. Having so many quality wingers in the Rebels outfit didn't really help the form of a guy like Naivalu who has had to ride the pine for a lot of the season.

From a Wallabies perspective, I guess you can make some arguments for the benefits of the move. But it’s crazy talk to say we in Canberra are better off letting Melbourne get a replacement to equal (if not better than) Mafi because a young guy now gets opportunities. If Foley moved to Melbourne and Tahs fans were saying how happy they were that Mack Mason wouldn’t be stuck riding the pine anymore, we’d think they’d lost their minds.

It isn’t a dick move, I spoke in anger. I wish him well and hope he is the Wallaby 8 at the World Cup. But I still wouldn’t start Valetini; it’ll be a McCaffrey-Pocock-Samu backrow with Cusack on the bench. Assuming Pocock doesn’t go to Brisbane to the tune of fans chanting “yay, now Oakman-Hunt can start!”.

I am not overly happy to see Isa move, but think it will be in his best interests, and possibly the Brumbies' best interests, in 2019. He has been earmarked as a future Wallaby and his early form with the Brumbies was confirmation of his talent and abilities. He has gone off the boil a bit lately but that could have been due to the negotiations that were apparently then going on.

For the Brumbies, they have still got a very strong back row contingent and can now, or should now, concentrate on getting some quality mid field players for the backline. I would also say that it would be great to see Nic White back where he belongs if he was to become available.
