Thought I might get the ball rolling on some of the world cup news so we can have a bit of fun instead of just crying over the state of the game.

First discussion point is which Aussie FTA broadcaster is actually hosting the World Cup. Channel 9 don't have it listed on their huge 2019 -- Their rights have expired. With TV rights now open to a broader section, like the Football World Cup being streamed on Optus, what will happen? Does anyone know who's bidding?

Hiya spikh, great idea lets remember to enjoy game again.
Isn't 10 the FTA rugby channel?

I think even Fox Sports haven't got the rights yet, someone will pick them up. Would be brilliant if a fta company gets it and shows all games live with their extra channels they now have. Could be a real opportunity for rugby to be showcased to a mass audience.

Let’s hope Channel 9 gets the rights again so they can bury the non Australian games like they did last time. Pricks.

God I'm excited for the combination of Kayo and a friendly time zone. October will be a complete write-off as I will be watching every single bloody game, I can't wait for Georgia v Uruguay complete with slo-mo action replays.

I dutifully logged into the RWC2019 site to access tickets as I was unsuccessful in the Dec ballot.
10.19 Sydney time and 30 seconds.
after 20 minutes I am still in the queue behind 1 or 2 others it would seem....
57,000 actually!

I'm at 6800 now.

Dropped from about 9k in the last 15 mins so should be on soon.

I did the same. Dozed off at 9pm (for the 9:15pm start) woke up at 10pm. Stated at 87k now at 35k (over 12hrs).

Got on, didn't end up buying anything.

Only decent games left, had premium tix only, which started at about 1500.

Got 4 good games anyway.
