For much of last Super Rugby season he looked well off his game though, but admittedly did improve towards the end - possibly after he was left out of the Wallabies? Maybe that was the incentive?
He was only left out of the Wallabies because he tore his pec off.

He's notorious for phoning it in during Super and stepping up at end of season/test. Plenty of quality players are like this.

TK was left out of the tests v Ireland (on his form and that of Kerevi). Go injured in the final Super Rugby game against the tahs and didn't play for the rest of the year.

Ma'a Nonu greatest example of phoning in a season of super rugby.

It doesn't seem there was ever a full release of who was invited to the January camp.

I also can't see where on the Brumbies site it talks about those players being at Wallabies camp. There is an article saying you could go and meet some of the Brumbies Wallabies (Pocock, Arnold, Fainga'a, Ala'alatoa and Sio) at South Point, Tuggeranong during January. That has zero to do with Wallabies camp though.

I can't now find the original info BH after a cursory search, but it was either there or on the Facebook site. There was a defenite post that the Brumbies who attended the training camp were Sio, Fainga'a, Ala'alatoa and Pocock.

I have gleaned that both of Foley and Quade were there but know nothing of the rest of the backs.

Nah, BH is right...... it was a reference to a select group of the Brumbies Wallabies contingent attending a meet and greet in Tuggeranong:

Ever wanted to meet a Wallabies international star? Now’s your chance as some of the Plus500 Brumbies international contingent will be at South.Point Tuggeranong this Friday afternoon, 25 January, from 2.50pm-3.30pm.

Superstars David Pocock, Scott Sio, Allan Ala'alatoa, Folau Fainga’a and Rory Arnold will be attendance at Centre Court within the South.Point building to meet and greet the Brumbies fans.

Anyways, Kuridrani might not have been at camp for a number of reasons.......... but it's hard to know who was there as a core group of players attended the entire camp (such as the Brumbies players named above, and Samu), and some others where only there for a day or two (including Banks and Pulu).

Despite the current coaching shit show, I expect to see Kuridrani starting for the Wallabies at the RWC.........

I Hope Kuridrani with a proper off season kicks of the season in great form, scoring 3 tries in the trail against the Rebel's has gotta be good for the confidence.

The core group were end of year tourists who were still non-contact as part of their off season protocol.
Others who joined in were in full training with their Super rugby squads. Kurindrani was there for some of it (you'll have to trust me on that one - no source)

A non complaining or critical post pertaining to RA.

Kinda struggled where to put this and settled on this thread if mods wanta move it to another thread please do no complaint from me.

Anywho, Donald Trump gave a long interview to the New York Times a few days ago, and something has been picked up in the USA sports area.

Trump was asked would be let his son play "Football" [gridiron]. His reply was essentially no and he explained why and twas mainly because he saw the game as to rough and his son could get hurt.

IMO statements like this do huge damage to all rugby and say collision codes. I do wonder aloud how RA or other rugby boards counter the growing alarmist statements.

Here is the vid contained in the article, tis about a minute long scroll down to the interview.

If you were to take him seriously............

And of course he wouldn't allow Barron to play football - that kid probably still breastfeeds.

That's an "I don't like Trump"" answer most don't I guess.

However what he said about kids not playing as they could get hurt does IMO a lot of damage. Do we ignore statements like this or respond.

There's not much you can do. The stuff in Queensland last year will definitely hurt junior numbers this year, even though they were all fluke injuries.

It's why the sevens/touch formats are so important to develop, so there's an alternative to 15s that also acts as a gateway for those who might be unsure about contact.

Respond how? he's not wrong, it is dangerous. It's all about informed consent and limiting risk. The first being hard to establish in children.

I listened to a podcast about the history of NFL and its remarkably less violent now than it used to be. Seems to be the natural progression.

Back at the start when it was just groups of lads from the big colleges smashing into each other, people used to literally die with some regularity.

Rugby is going in the other direction now that protein shakes and 120kg wingers are things that exist.

I thought fellow ex Brumbie and Canberra Rugby Mafia member Rod Kafer already has this gig.

Have they been taking lessons from another ex Brumbie, in Pat Howard on how to get on the gravy train with one of these BS roles!

Or maybe Stuart McGill put it best when he said you are 'stealing a living' from the sport.

Meanwhile the newly appointed CEO of Twiggy's flagship the Minderoo Foundation is a former NAB executive who was castigated at the Royal Commission. Andrew Haggar, former Head of Consumer Banking and Wealth.

Mmmm. Another banker, eh?

Some of us can only dream...

He will be eligible for a redundancy payment estimated to be worth about $750,000, but the full details of his remuneration will be revealed when the annual report is published later this year.
