Round 5 - Brumbies vs Waratahs - Friday 15 March @ 7:45pm in Canberra

Hunt out, Beale to 12, Folau to 15, Rona to wing

Brumbies by 22

Whilst I prefer the configuration with Hunt in it I don't think it will affect the scoreboard much. Tahs have scored many points and many wins with the 'new' lineup, they know each other pretty damn well. It's more an attack based setup and will revolve around how much go forward the piggies can get, slightly more than the original setup..

I don't know about everyone else, and rugby had it's issues, but Tah's vs Brumbies at the Concrete Eski is one of the best things in the game..

It's going to be cold, its going to be tough, and the fans are going to yell abuse people will be ashamed of.. I cant get there as Im up in QLD but I will yell at my tv... What a wonderful game and Brumbies by 15

early days but he's certainly ticking boxes. I doubt it this year but definitely one to watch for the next cycle.
I always felt we had the wood on the tah's reserves but he has come on and made a mess of scrums.. His better then bad his good (for a stinking tah)

I've asked before, what has happened to Roets? Is he fit and just not up to Super standard. He doesn't seem like much of a buy if, with Staniforth unavailable, McCauley is selected in front of him. Makes him our 5th choice lock at best!

Here he is

That team could get pumped by the Brumbies.

They've named a far stronger side.

I saw him play at the Mudgee 7s last year in one of the Emerging Waratahs teams, he was pretty electric to watch. I know he went to Stannies at Bathurst, nothing else beyond that.

Want to get him quick off the ground in the lineout would be my guess. I've heard Cronny say it's no good to have someone who isn't quick off the ground in the lineout.

Watched Yool Yool play for Stannies once in 2016. Bit of a freaky athlete, very fast with lightning feet. Didn’t have a lot of size to go with his speed but may have put some on since school, played Manly 1sts Colts last year I believe.

Billy Carberry, reserve in the emerging Brumbies team is a Mudgee lad, he was selected to play first grade for Mudgee when he was still in the U17s two years ago but the politics (rightly or wrongly, I'm impartial) didn't allow it. He's a very strong runner, quick on his feet and has a monster boot.

I saw him play CHS a couple of years ago, he may have only been in year 10. Was very good.

I'm suitably pumped. I fully predict Hooper to assert his dominance over Pocock in the battle of the #7s. ;)
