Good afternoon everybody !!
Does anyone know a way in which I could try and push my son to get into a higher team ?? He's quite a large boy but he's extremely passionate about rugby and I would hate to see his self-esteem deteriorate if he wasn't able to make the team that he waned - the 4th XV. Us Simoni boys have always been quite large but it's gotten to the point were he's virtually immobile on the field and his few friends have started to tease him, calling him names like 'big Papi' and 'hippo'. Please post back any feedback that you might have and thanks heaps in advance

Hey Johnny! yes, I've had a similar situation with my son in the past. I had three boys go through the schoolboy system, one of which struggled to find his feet and was not picked in the team he wanted. I think its best if he just plays with his mates; that is what rugby is all about. However, with alot of gym work and hard extras, good ol' 'Big Papi' will turn into an absolute wrecking ball with that size turning to his advantage. My advice to 'Big Papi', work hard, play hard!!!!!

can we clean up this competition clearly run by feral supporters. Lets remove oakhill, gregs, augustines and stannies whilst we still can #corrupt

And who would you replace them with. The GPS has two schools that I find have attitude problems. But I would never cut them from the competition. Best to wait for internal changes from within. Your solution is not a solution, but rather a disaster awaiting to happen. Where League (Gregs) and Aussie Rules, would fill the void and we would lose these schools forever.

Is it the case that Barker have gotten worse since last year or have Stannies improved tremendously since last year?
Barker will be well short of the team they were last year. Losing Reimer is most significant, but also many other rep players such as Dring, Flaherty, Necessian, Tecjek, Bryden, and Graham - just too many to lose in one go and expect to be as competitive.

Barker still have Australian schoolboy hooker Billy Pollard but I believe their team is filled with plenty of year 11's this year. Interesting to see how they fare in the CAS this season
