We should retain half of the unsigned ones. There is a few that will be weighing up a move elsewhere as the club looks to push through some young talent. Someone like Ruru I think might be interested in a more regular gig than playing second fiddle and Goddard sniffing around, although wouldn’t surprise me to see Goddard spend some time in the next 12 months around the 7s program who is desperately crying out for a play maker.

It’ll be interesting to see who’s available elsewhere, even players in Europe without a club now like Andrew Kellaway

Derpus

George Gregan (70)
Is he though? Never really played to his potential. Locking stocks are looking the most health in a number of years.

He is a loss don't get me wrong but just not a big one.
Yes, purely from a depth perspective.

I wouldnt have him in the team this year, but it's still good to have these players around pushing others to excel.

Would be understandable,

Would love him and Genia to hang around though, know it would be a pay cut but they both really didn't like there previous trips to Europe so an offer with a career after rugby should be placed for both. I think Cooper would strive in a development role working with the up and coming generations of rugby players.

Harlequins have Marcus Smith, so unless he wants to go there and play second fiddle I can’t see it happening. He’d be a very expensive reserve fly half and money would be better spent elsewhere. I actually think Japan would be a better fit if it’s overseas.

Second Fiddle to a 20 year old ? Maybe they want Quade to come over and guide him so he gets some experience behind a top line 10.

Smith is a gun. Last year they invested heavily in him with a big contract, plus he plays well beyond his age. I’m a big fan of Quade but there isn’t that much difference in the quality of the two at present, I’d almost go as far as saying Smith would definitely be going to the WC if he was Aussie. Smith will play 75% of games, he’s their future so they’d be better bringing in a stalwart that knows the conditions and is happy to play 6-7 games a year and a few appearances off the bench.

But if Smith starts getting regular call ups for England, he could be gone for large chunks of the season, and Quins are in Europe next season, so QC (Quade Cooper) could get decent game time.

Plus rumour is Catrakalis is leaving so they'll have no senior FH, its a good fit for QC (Quade Cooper)

I fear we just won't have room in the cap to keep him :(

The Fox pod this week stated that Nick White is most likely to end up at the Rebels or Brumbies. Rebels it will come down to if Genia stays. If he does it’ll most likely be the Brumbies.

Let him go to the Ponies, Ruru and Goddard are fine if Genia doesn’t stay

Paper saying we have won the battle to get Will Skelton’s signature. Catch is, it won’t be until the Premiership seasons ends in 2021. So basically rules out 2 seasons. Rather strange, but makes he eligible for wallabies. I wonder if this type of thing will become the norm soon.

Ugh. If that's true then it makes a mockery of the whole deal of not picking overseas players.
