TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

Froggy

John Solomon (38)
I can only think they've kept Hodge for his boot, hard to explain it otherwise. Banks very stiff. I'm assuming AAA still isn't fit.
Some interesting contests for positions, particularly 9, 10 and 15 in the backs. Given last weekend's lacklustre performance, a few guys really have a chance to stake a claim here. There's also a fair bit of competition for that bench backrow spot, Dempsey having first crack, now Jones, and Samu to come back.

I can’t wait to hear CLL getting praise for running the right direction.
Leaving aside the vitriol. He was the form 10 and it is somewhat remarkable that a former Leukemia patient is now running out as starting 10 in a test match.

Still think its kind of crazy that Samu is getting stiffed. If he is kept out by playing LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) at 6 ill be a little annoyed. It's becoming more apparent by the game that he's a lock.

I'm guessing he's not fit yet

Absolutely, couldn’t have happened to a better bloke. I hope he does make the spot his own and consign Foley to the bench at best. I just feel like the Foley hate is so rampant everything he does will be blown way out of proportion.

I'm assuming (hoping) that Samu is only not there because he's recovering from his hamstring injury, otherwise he's the ultimate backrow bench option.

Pretty big opportunity for Latu off the bench. With Uelese's unfortunate concussion last week and TPN back in the fold, a strong performance off the bench could just about sneak him into the RWC squad.

Pretty big for the Wallabies if he gets the breakdown right. Would add so much if we had him as an on-baller.

The biggest change we need from last week in our defence is linespeed. Regardless of who we pick we're not going to have much breakdown presence if we keep allowing the opposition to punch through the gain line.

A few more dominant tackles will do wonders.

Hodge aside, I don't really see any issues with that starting team?

I think, today, Hodge is a better winger than Banks. Especially defensively as a winger

So what you lose in attack dynamism you gain defense

It think we will do a lot of defensive scrambling

Leisure Suit Larry is picked on size.

Probably needs a big game this week to show for it.
