Interesting side note to yesterday’s performance - I wonder if it will negatively impact Petaia’s chances of getting a gig before the WC.

Before the game, there definitely appeared an opportunity in our back 3. Now - not so much. Will be interesting how it plays out, especially if the Wallabies put in another strong performance this weekend.

Jordy can play 13, 14, 11, 15. If fit he goes to Japan.

I don’t disagree with you on his capability Bobby Sands, and I think he will make it - but I think it is naive to assume Cheika won’t be carefully considering a veteran with over 100 games experience to a rookie coming off and extended injury lay off who hasn’t played a test yet.

His biggest plus is not his own potential, but the fact that the form of both AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) & DHP have been a bit sub par this year.

I think he is highly likely to get a starting gig against Samoa though and that final selection will come down to that game - but I won’t be at all surprised if Cheika backs AACs experience.

So happy to have Tongan Thor on the books.

A great piece to build a forward pack around. Can you think of a more dominate scrummager at his age?

I'm not sure, but the SMH report states that Tupou is now the highest paid prop in Australia, which is... interesting.

deserved. AAA has had a great year, but has never made the Wallaby spot his own.

Tupou has massive potential beyond where he is now. Plus he has the potential for Folau like profile (good Folau). I am sure a big part of his contract his in his brand / IP. Kids love him.

He's also probably more important to the Reds than AAA is to the Brumbies.

Completely happy to pay $big for TT and no I don’t think he has beaten AAA to the top job. Yet.

It is awesome the depth Aus currently has in props, but great to see Tupou locked in. Very pleasing.

God help me, but there has been good news in rugby for a few days running. How good is that!

Amazing anyone would think AAA is more deserving then TT.

When’s the last time AAA had a ball carrying run that leaves half the stadium with their jaws on the ground? TT versatility as an attacking weapon is why he got that contract.

TT is a once in a generation talent. AAA just a good prop.

AAA is probably the best TH prop in the southern hemisphere right now.........

TT is a very good young prop........ his scrummaging isn't quite there yet, but he provides some good impact around the ground.

But I know which thread I'm in so I'll leave it at that.........

How the f*&k did RA let Kerevi go??

I know this is just nauseating at this point.... but hes 25 years old about to go play high-school rugby in Japan at the peak of his powers.

Surely we go after McMahon to make up for it?

12. Kerevi, 13. JOC (James O'Connor), 15. Jordy (or some other machination) is about as good as it gets for Super Rugby backlines.

Wilson, McReight, Faesler, Wood (if not injured) represent the new breed of Reds forwards.

V

Korch, ASY (Angus Scott-Young), Hockings as the incumbents.

It should be fascinating viewing this weekend for all Reds fans.

Personally I think the new breed will outshine the current, but I can’t wait for the arm wrestle.
