Reds 2020

Thought he was carrying an injury for a bit there?
I also think they wanted to see what McGahan has to offer and whether to re-sign him or not.

In 2020 I think this is how we may see the players and their positions

10. Lucas, Gordon, Hegarty
11. Daugunu, Hardy
12. JOC (James O'Connor), Stewart
13. Petaia, CFS
14. Speight, Campbell
15. Hegarty, Stewart, Lucas, Campbell

Yeah I think so.

I reckon Lucas will be signed for a long term deal. Possibly a 4 year one.

You might find Lucas and Hegarty switched for starters.

Would he, Wilson, Mcreight etc all be beneficiaries of the RA initiative to retain talent? Does that mean the Reds don't pay, or does it mean that the young talent is secured on a higher combined wage to support retention? - Similar to the Top tier Wallabies

The upside of this years injury crisis is that Hardy & particularly Campbell both got decent exposure and CFS got more game time and, IMO, played his best for a few years.

As ever, depth will be just as critical as who is in the first pick starting 15 and the squad is starting to look pretty sold in that regard. Even the bench is handy, with two Wallabies and two potential Wallabies in waiting. Add Lucas into the mix and there is a a good
balance between strong ball running and more dynamic ball runners/ball players.

I think the key question here will be who is going to guide the team around. I’m happy enough with Hegarty and I thought he was quite good for the most part this year, but I think we need him to get better again this year to really be competitive.

Sorry for the off topic post but I didn't want to start a new thread and couldn't find another appropriate place to ask.

I'm wanting to head to the Brisbane City v Fiji Drua NRC match at GPS this weekend but I can't find any details about it online (tickets (if any), kick off times etc.).

Anyone point me in the right direction?

It will be free... hard to fence off the expansive fields which are Yoku Road

Only venue you’ll have to open the wallet for probably is Brothers.

Just thinking out loud - but if Carter Gordon is seen as a future Super Rugby level 10 and Lucas’ best position is more unclear, would it make more sense to leave Hegarty at 10 with Gordon as his understudy & play Lucas at 15?
