I'm very impressed with how both coaches are rotating the playing group thru all NRC Fixtures.

There's been a couple of weekends where there's some head scratching omissions. But I have a feeling with a full weekend away travel required and these players having family weekend commitments outside of Super Rugby/Premier season there would be some leighway why a certain player isn't playing & can stay back in Brissie.

Can't wait to see Liam Dillon finally make his NRC debut. There's not a harder working halfback in QPR then LD. Unfortunately he is stuck behind the best halfback in the country in Tate McDermott.

I think both these teams are headed for the NRC Playoffs.

Gladstones gonna be a great game. Really sad thats not at Ballymore.

Couldn't agree more. Liam Dillon has been a stand out this year and is a crafy 9 that keeps them guessing. Hope he gets some time and can turn it on.

What I have been impressed by is with players rotated a lot of club players coming in have really stepped up to the plate.

Agreed. But just checking if Tom Kibble is injured. Thought he would have got some game time by now. Should they put him in URC like they did with Lucas last year after he was not getting much NRC time. Certainly didn’t hurt Lucas and contributed to the City team winning the inaugural URC.

Disappointing to see both QLD teams lose. Didn’t see all the Country game but watched City.

Seemed to be missing some firepower in the backline today?

Can’t quite pinpoint where the issue was with the country backline today. I’m going to watch the game again.
With city, it seemed to me that the line up in the backs isn’t working and they should have brought Henry on sooner, his impact was literally immediate. For me, the Vikings defence was superior to Brisbane city and that is another area to work on for next week.

He’s out injured. He’s having shoulder soon or may have even had it already.

Thought QLD Country desperately missed Carter Gordon.

Week before he was outstanding with His kicking for territory, his cover defense and leading the packs around the ground. Don’t think Saifoloi should be the preferred option at 10 but who knows why Gordon was dropped or not picked.

Gordon was rested after a battering last game
Saifoloi played well Rd1, I think he deserved his selection.

I don’t think 5/8 was where that game was lost, big difference between this week and last week was the forward pack, QC (Quade Cooper) forwards played really well the first 20 and the just fell off the pace after that. Backs had no front foot ball to work with

Didn’t mean to imply that Saifoloi lost us the game. Only that Gordon who played the full 80 the week before was desperately missed & questioned why he wasn’t in the lineup.

I agree on the forwards they looked gassed. Wihongi was a great injection when he came on.

Paisami was another for me who was a poor substitute, like Rd 1, the lack of variety in his game was highlighted.
Isaac Henry is a class above Paisami IMO

Don’t know about a class above but the combination of Lucas, Henry and Paisami is outstanding!!

Has that combination been on the field at the same time in the first 3 rounds?

Paisami was my favourite player in Round 1 with his hard running but has lacked variety. Henry stepped up last week when he come on and I see him as a good bench impact. Lucas has been consistent and plays better with stronger centres. Looking forward to him teaming up with Hamish, JOC (James O'Connor) and Petaia. It’s going to be a big decision whether Lucas or Hegarty start at 10 for the Reds. Both have different things to offer. Good to see Lucas’ goal kicking improve from Round 1. Enjoying Lucas’s progressive improvements.

Not sure for how long but I watched the game again against SYDNEY and the combination with the two Isaacs was good.

Henry is a great option at 12 as he is a 10 and links well with Paisami as he did all season at West’s.
He is also close to 90% at goal from the Premier season so worth a starting spot for that alone.
Based on the last few games interesting to see who they start this week.
Is Paisami is injured as I hear, Henry at 12 seems a certainty.

Who knows though as I expected to see him earlier against Canberra last game.

Suppose it depends what the aim of NRC is???

Gordon has U18 Aus team commitments and is heading into camp. Not sure if that is why he didn’t play last week or if the yellow card carried over. Tour is in NZ so I guess he’ll be out for a few more weeks in NRC. Stepped up in his debut game and was looking forward to him playing again the Sydney flyhalf last week. Who I might add had a great game and wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a go at Tahs next year.

Ahmed? He's a gun but apparently with 7s.

Or do you mean Harrison/Donaldson?
