RWC 2019 Japan vs Scotland

IS there a what-if calculator on the site?
i.e. IF japan beat RSA and Wobs lose - could Japan leapfrog Aus?

If they can go past RSA - which i doubt as it has been a massive tournament for them, I would definitely back them against Wales.

This is the best world rankings calculator, they also update it live during matches.

If Japan beat RSA they will jump above RSA and Australia (if Australia lose to England).

Would think the money and performance from this RWC will surely make SANZAAR have a look at a 5 nations involving Japan be done to Rugby Championship. Would love Fiji to join as well but just worry that SANZAAR won't see it as a money maker.

Awesome match. The skill level across the park from the Blossoms was fantastic. Incredible coaching effort from all concerned. i'd be looking no further than them to replace the rabble coaching the Wallabies.

Do you reckon Jamie Joseph would take the paycut?

Pay whatever you have to in order to start winning again. Not just Joseph, Brown etc as well. They've coached a mob of unknowns into a well drilled, skillful unit. His humility and the way he carries himself is totally what we need.

Winning teams generate money. Continually underperforming is horrible for the finances and the fans. Not many want to pay to watch a rabble dropping the pill and unable to pass under pressure etc.

Would imagine that travel would be a huge problem with Japan ( would love it though), and I doubt whether Fiji could afford to if they were invited?

Japan is easy for Australia and New Zealand (close Time zones as well). Guess its more complicated for South Africa and Argentina to travel to but not the worst if games are played in a hub like Tokyo (think you can probably fly direct?)

Travel is only an issue when you have to do it week in week out, like in Super Rugby.

If it became a 6 nations typed thing, it would be a one off trip to Japan, every second year.

Good points by you and Spruce Derpus, and perhaps a man could hope.

Just to supplement this discussion, viewing figures from Japan showed 53.7% of population were watching the match at one stage, with an average viewing audience of 39.2%. In other words over 60 million people were watching it at its peak, surely even SANZAAR know thats a compelling case to get them involved.

"It was reported on Thursday World Rugby had referred comments made by SRU representatives to an independent disputes committee to decide if they are worthy of a reprimand."

Scots carried on like pork chops but I think WR (World Rugby) would be better to just let it be until the next Council meeting at which time they & any member Union that wants to have a crack can do so.
