Watching pool game replays on Foxtel - got to comment gees the female rugby commentator is very good - good commentating voice and good commentary.

Given focus on finding more mixed sex commentary teams to attract male and female fans reckon got a winner with that commentator

Samoa under Gordon improved but having watched oz men’s team in the pool games just lacked the star quality to be anything more then a good mid table team.

Not knocking oz performance as good but just saying to get to that next level just missing that star quality - re a perry Baker (who has pace but also natural ability to look for and find space)

No surprise when u stack your team with forwards. Playing turner in mid field as opposed to a 9 at best leaves a massive hole in the back line defensively.

Tactical poor in this game.

You said it was a tactical error playing Turner in the midfield, and that he should have been 9.
You completely ignore that our most dangerous player in the squad plays there, where does he go?

Holland and two or three others would be there, if they weren’t injured, thats not a tactical error by the coach.

Dunbar? Come on, be serious.

Well, I got that wrong. Both teams outclassed against big sides.

Did really well on the first day. Against Samoa, I thought the ref was a bit easy on Samoa in the first half, could have been a YC or two when we were on attack.

The turning point seemed to be when little Maurice fluffed that lineout throw. It was all downhill from there.

FTR:

Aus men:

QF 14-19 Samoa

Listed as finishing fifth, not sure what countback method was used.

NZ men:

QF 26-5 USA
SF 19-12 England (who really should've lost to France in QF)
Final 0-15 South Africa

SA looked amazing good as they often do this time of year. Let's see how they go when a few more time zones from home.

Aus women:

QF 21-0 Spain
SF 12-26 Canada
3rd/ 4th 7-24 USA

NZ women:

QF 24-10 Fiji
SF 24-7 USA
Final 17-14 Canada

Series moves to Cape Town this weekend then breaks for a month.

A pivotal moment to be sure, as was the missed tackle by HH to let the first try in for Samoa.
