The good guys to play the stinkin' Tahs...

Well this answers the speculation around Holloway, on the bench. Harris and Bell given a spell. Jake back in, and Cotton for Abel.

If the Tahs can keep building on recent performances i can see them taking this. Rebels haven't shown a whole lot yet. Rebels still favourites.

Good to see big Trevor getting his first starting cap. Can see him having a monster of a game!

Not sure why we're persisting with Ailsley over Smith. Is JP injured?

Usually don't support a 6 - 2 bench, but for this week I think it's a good idea. Lot more mongrel in that NSW pack, and we will need to combat it. Hoping Deegan gets a decent run this week.

Hosea was great when he came on - hope we get to see "Freight Train" Fa'amusili again:)

Bell was a late withdrawal last week with a back injury so perhaps he is still struggling with that. Talakai probably sures up the scrum a little but is certainly far less dynamic around the park.

Good to see Jake Gordon back. Hopefully he plays himself back into the starting jersey.

Jed Holloway has a fair bit to prove so hopefully that drives him to make a big impact off the bench.

Cotton's inclusion is interesting. Is Abel injured and this certainly makes it appear that Andrew Tuala has dropped right off the depth chart.

If I were a Tahs fan I wouldn't be too devastated about Abel.

He's looked dead average the last few weeks and it'll be a good opportunity for Cotton to get some minutes.

The problem with a 6-2 split is that the coach is more likely to hold the backs on the bench for longer in case there is an injury to a back in last 20 minutes.

Unless there is an injury early in the match, can't see Deegan getting more than 15 or 20 minutes.

Which is a shame. I see Deegan a more naturan 10 than To'omua, but MT is jsut such a good footballer, you just have to find a start spot fo him.

If the rumours are true, and the bald man moves to MLR, then perhaps we will see a 10Deegan/To'omua combinatio at 10/12.

Very much looking forward to Hosea getting a starting spot. He’s the most unheralded of young Aus locking stocks but has just as much potential as any of them offer. His defensive work for holding players up in the tackle is superb. He was very impressive with his limited time off the bench against the reds.

If these young Tahs are the real deal for 2020, and not just a development project, they need to win this one. This would be the best side we can put on the paddock, with only Foketi still injured, so let's see how they go.
Haven't sighted Pat Tafa or Cameron Clarke since Covid, are they both still fit and with the squad?

No reason they wouldn't be. The only ones who left were Mason and Fitzpatrick I think?

It's just tough to sight them because they're not allowed to be around their Shute clubs.

I saw Cam Clarke on the sideline against the Brumbies.

I have to wonder where Clark ends up. He had a period where he was looking good, showed some real gas and stood up well in defence with some great tackles but he seemed to be slower in his more recent appearances. He's starting to get to that age where you'd really want to be the starter, not, not even on the bench. To go as a started in most games last year to playing 1 (?) this year doesn't bode well.
