Awesome win Rebels. Left the Brumbies looking like novices. Wet weather game led strangely by 9-10-12. And 13 topping it.

How good was Hosea? Incredible drive for such a young fella. Naisarani has thrown down the gauntlet for the starting #8. Samu & Valetini did themselves no favours with Wilkin & Kemeny stomping all over them. Also Uelese responded to his critics with a great game, scrum held up until he left, got pilfers, line breaks and FF (Folau Fainga'a) was dreadful.

Don't think so, I think it was just that the both forwards and backs were so dominant in tandem. The forwards got go forward every run, Isi was impossible to stop, then with brilliant kicking and passing from the backs it just smothered the Brumbies.

Strange allegation. Tonight he just wasn't good enough. By a gap.
There was a bit of sarcasm in my post. A well known aspect about Cheika’s training camps was to try to replicate the intensity of test footy to work out who was up to it. I always wondered why Banks was ‘shunned’ by Cheika and it seemed that he didn’t pass that test. He may have stuffed up the match day selections a bit but I think his talent identification has been proven to be pretty spot on. A bit of the Jesse Mogg syndrome for Tom maybe.?

Tonight for me, To'omua won the 12 jumper for WBs and let a young 10 step in under his control.

A BIG win for Lomani v Powell.

Hodge over Banks. Easy victory.

And the Brumby pack neutralised. In wet conditions.

Plenty to like for the Rebels. Questions for ACT. And Rennie.

Uelese has been great all season, people criticize because they have blinkers on. His biggest downside atm is that his body is unreliable.

Wonderful performance Rebels, great to see Deegan play so well, particularly in first half. Team looks so much better with Isi in pack. But plenty of good performances by the other forwards Hosea, Philip, Wilkin et al.

To'omua looked good at 12, although bit worried by his limping.

Also given Meakes packed in the scrum did the Rebels have a 7-1 split on the bench?

Rebels outplayed the Brumbies tonight in almost every facet. Brumbies scrum finished on top, but that had no bearing on the outcome.

Every game has a few stand out moments that can set the tempo of the game. While not in any way saying the Rebels wouldn't have won, the first penalty against Joe Powell was simply wrong. Deegan fumbled the ball, and regained it on the goal line. Joe tackled him and stayed on his feet the whole time. Penalty went the wrong way.

Later in the first half, To'omua fielded the ball in his own in-goal area and put in a dismal kick that went about 15 metres up field. The whole of the Rebels side then was offside, but they regathered possession from a Brumbies fumble without penalty.

In the last few phases of the match, Brumbies had a string of penalties near the Rebels try line. Not on any occasion did the Rebels retreat to the try line but no penalty awarded.

Otherwise, the game was dictated by the Rebels play makers/. Deegan MOTM imo, which I am happy to record, having talked up his talents over the past two to three years much to the derision of many on here suggesting he wasn't up to Super quality.

This might sound, obnoxious? But between the potential injuries to Leota and Uelese, alongside not grabbing the bonus point has left me rather deflated after the game.

Because I know I should be really very happy, we played very well and clearly beat the ladder leaders. Brain do dumb things

Tough game to be harsh on some of the Brums youngsters, apart from Banks I don’t think anyone was having a shocker it just happened to be one of those weeks where everyone was 5% off and it becomes an accumulative effect. They will bounce back for sure, however after watching u20 and the few games I have seen Kuenzel I’m leaning towards the 12 option for him than a midfield general at 10, which would fit into the theme of what Aus develops atm.

On the Rebels Naisarani is superb, he’s a lock for the wallabies, would love to see him with Wilson at some stage. Wilkin prob had the best performance by a Rebels 7 since Colby was around. Hodge is an outside back, Magnay was excellent but the biggest difference and my motm was Deegan. He actually played a proper 10 role in plugging the corners and directing the play.

I noticed in the second half To'omua took over more first receiver duties, hopefully it’s something they pick up on in the review. It wasn’t nearly as affective as the first half.

Nup we were not meant to win that game at all, great victory, especially that driving maul in the 2nd half where we drove them back 20m, looked great Uelese injury should be fine, just a small knock. Leota looked not good.

I feel like we need to create a separate type of category for Koroibete's tries. They're always so opportunistic without much planning and look quite fortuitous but the jammy bugger gets a lot of them.

For goodness sake. The Rebels were fading badly. Completely flagging. To'omua stepped in showing leadership to pick up the energy and the pace. While the team was flagging.

Thought his stint especially in the second stanza was simply superb.

Calm down, I didn’t say he played bad, I thought he had a great game. It was just an observation.

Well, I didn't see that coming. The Rebels just played wet weather footy at it's absolute best, ie kick out of your own half, and then just pour on the defensive pressure.
Very few Brumbies played up to their reputations tonight, the test front row got monstered (Brumbies got the better of the reserve front rows battle), the first time I saw Samu was shaking hands after the match, TK continues to be fairly anonymous and I think that's the worst game I've seen Banks play. Valetini and Simone both worked hard, Kata is always looks dangerous, but that's about all the positives I can find.
For the Rebels, OTH, there were stars all over the paddock. In the forwards I thought Isi was massive, I'm a big Wilson fan but right now Isi is still my Wallaby 8. The control exercised by Lomani, Deegan and To'omua was what really won the game, they knew exactly how to play in those conditions and they executed brilliantly.
I'm sure the Brumbies will bounce back from that, they're too good a side not too, but Super Rugby Aus just got a whole lot more interesting.

Calm down? It's not a player nor team that has my passion.

You suggest a poor performance in the second half. I don't agree.
