Probably like how they didn't go back to Valentini knocking on the ball but Stewart got pinged for playing the ball offside..

He didn't knock it on - Berry called the tackle and the ball was interfered with by the defender.

Had a feeling it would go this way

I don’t buy Horans excuses for Kuridrani - played out of the game due to Brumbies style of gameplay. Come on mate - you don’t pick a bloke in a key position and not expect him to fit into a game plan. And if you picked him for defence. well Petaia ran all literally over the top of him twice.

Yeah, he just seemed to make all the wrong decisions, and his handling was terrible............

Petaia smoked him.........

I was so shocked Kuridrani even made it to the try line that I wasn't particularly upset when he knocked the ball on.

Any Brumby do better than their opposite?
Stewart was quiet but so was Simone.
Fainga over BPA. Maybe.
Samu was good, but better than Wilson?
Sio over Hoopert but not much in it.

In the backrow I'd say that Valetini and Samu were better than their opposites, but McReight had it all over Miller.

Ha! Not for me. Valetini had moments especially in the first half, but not likely to get my nod.

I liked McInerney and Slipper too but they were out-scrummed.

You really think Valetini and Samu were better then Wright and Wilson? Both had moments but the Queensland players were clearly better.

Yes, I'd say they were two of the Brumbies best tonight............ but obviously most of the other Reds players were clearly better than their Brumbies counterparts.

Reds are crushing them, it’s great isn’t it??

I'm loving seeing the belief at the Reds and some of the running/attacking play. Look so much better now that McKay has had some more time with them.

With an eye to the Wallabies though I'm not loving the inconsistency and actually feel that the Brumbies haven't looked as dominant in this comp as their position makes them out to be. Want to see some of our potential Gold players actually stand up a bit more (ie. all those Brumbies in the mix for the Wallabies).

How good were the Reds mate??

I dunno, I think Samu probably had a better game than Harry who wasn't as lethal in his running game. But I'd say Liam just had it in contributing more to the Res than Valetini did to the Brumbies who lost the ball a lot in contact.

I think both sets of Backrowers were evenly matched and were the brighter sparks of both teams.

Deserved win by the Reds. A couple of obvious differences; too many errors by the Brumbies and Reds are absolute menaces over the ball.

Has been clear for some time that Tupou has overtaken Ala'alatoa as the best THP; tonight confirmed that Petaia has overtaken Kuridrani; Tate is a very serious option for the No 9 spot.

I did forecast that the travel would have an affect on the Brumbies, but around 20 points, I'm not sure. It will be a matter of the shoe on the other foot in two weeks time if the Reds make it (on form they should shit it in, but maybe they played their big game tonight?).

Very disappointed in Muirhead, Kuridrani and Sio tonight. Errors apart, not a lot between the rest of the teams. On the plus side, Samu was very strong and I believe beat Wilson in the battle of the No 8s. Actually, Wilson was rather quiet compared with previous games. Wright, McReight and Wilson together are a real weapon at the breakdown for the Reds. Otherwise, Valetini also matched Wright and was probably stronger in defense. I would say, on balance, the Brumbies locking pair finished the better over the Reds pair. Certainly, had some dominance at lineout time. Blyth continues to impress though.

Again, not a lot positive can be said for the refereeing. Too many errors both ways.

Agreed with all that, fair assessment BR.

I think the Brumbies are going to be better served with Powell's reliability to start matches, and White coming off the bench...........

There were too many times White stood there with his hands up in the air looking at the ref while the game played on around him.
