Super Rugby Rnd 10: Reds v Brumbies 5 Sept

Who refs the final? I feel Berry has good relationship on field with the players and handles multiple infringement situations well - but he seems to under referee the game at times. I’m all for less whistles blown but when you miss blatant knock ons, forward passes, halfbacks being played off the ball and other issues, it becomes a problem.

Can we have Amy?

How good was it when he told White to pipe down when the opposite side went down. He missed a couple of things, but I'd lay some of the blame of that with the touchies.

More importantly, which TMO is going to get the gig? They've been the superstars this season if you ask me!

Does that mean Hooper is the obvious Wallaby 7?

I hope not, but he probably will be.

Frasers time will come & it will be glorious.

We will start winning again!!

Soon the Wallabies will just be the Reds with any luck.

It looks to me that he has little consistency in his scrum related decisions too. I agree that Sio was rightly pinged a couple of times for pulling Tupou down (it is a feature of Sio's game that he has to address - but who else in the world would be able to pull Tupou down?) but two scrums in particular, first Tupou was forced up and broke his bind on his hooker, and second instance the Reds hooker himself was forced up, but no sanction by Berry. He was also inconsistent in penalising Miller for entering the ruck from the side when he won the ball, but allowed McReight later in the game to do exactly the same without sanction.

Jeez I love watching this Reds outfit. They play a really entertaining brand of footy, at pace with some decent skill to go with it. Their young forwards just keep getting better too. I thought they thoroughly deserved the win tonight.

McReight and Petaia are going to be super stars at test level I feel.

You really think Valetini and Samu were better then Wright and Wilson? Both had moments but the Queensland players were clearly better.

I thought the back row battle was particularly absorbing tonight, but I'd give it slightly to the Reds. Both teams flooded the breakdown, which is something I like to see.

I don’t know if I’m just overawed but I don’t think we’ve ever been bossed up front like that in recent memory, Reds are the real deal I was wondering if Thorn should be shown the gate pre-COVID, glad to be proven wrong. Reds second\back-row could be the best ever, much sooner than everybody thinks.

Pre Covid I thought they should get rid of Wessels - post COVID I know they should get rid of Wessels

He's a dud.

When you read his rugby journey - you realise that he sort of conned his way into professional coaching.

He has a role in elite rugby, but it most likely is not as head coach.
