Ash Dixon Balls ffs, 79.5 mins gone and he rogers up the lineout. You ARSEHOLE.

Ash Dixon is from Christchurch and Mitch Hunt -- who basically gave Will Jordan a congratulatory pat on the back as he guided him in for the winning try -- is from Nelson.

The prosecution rests, m'lud.

:) Geez there going to be some good players missing out on ABs.

Team to be named at 11 local & they're talking about there being 38 on the assumption a 14-day quarantine in Aus will be required at some point so need to bulk up the depth chart.

But yes, some good 'uns are gunna miss out & some less-good are gunna make it solely on what position(s) they play: if you'd told me this time last year that Dunshea or Strange would be an AB in 12 months I'd have said you were dreaming but nek minnit.......

Gotta say , I sneakily like the look of that young Naki lock, I suspect he might turn into a good un. how bad is Pari pari's injury?

Pari Pari has had surgery & is gone for the year. Vaa'i does look promising but is only 20, I'm not sure it's a good idea throwing someone that young into Test footy as we've seen in the past that it doesn't always work & can damage or even destroy a young guy's self-confidence. Dunshea ain't flashy but he's experienced, as is Strange.

Yep I know Vaa'i is only a kid, but there is 2 things to consider, a squad of 38 would allow for 4-5 locks, so get him starting to work, and secondly if there is a tests this year it is likely only against Wallabies, and not sure they will have locks that are going to give any young uns too much curry. I would still be taking Dunshea or/and Scrafton

^ isn't *only against Wallabies* a touch dusrespuctful to our Strayan maaates?

Point taken though, there's probably room in a 38 for a coupla guys who won't get any actual game time & on that basis Vaa'i wouldn't be the worst AB selection ever made.

Think Reece could be slightly in the poo. Can't play FB and suddenly Jordan is looking a better option. Although Fozzie being Fozzie he'll probably just pick the exact same incumbent squad from the RWC semi just to not rock the boat.

Dunshea ain't flashy but he's experienced, as is Strange.
Can't pick these guys for test rugby at lock. Aussie boofhead giants like the Arnold's and Coleman's would toy with them at lineout time

Not much option though, NZ just doesnt seem to grow the tall timber these days. Or, if they do, they'd rather play BounceBall...

Nothing disrespectful about it WOB, I think most honest Aus rugby followers will say they haven't got big mean locks at moment that will eat up young fellas. That only really comes after years of experience at real top level.
