Waratahs 2021

Froggy

John Solomon (38)
Anyone know the time-line for this?
I take the grandchildren to Daceyville for a Hockey Camp every Easter, Cheika and the Wallabies were there at the same time in 2019. I'd be interested to see it.

Jeez at 29, you imagine someone will pick him up
He is international quality player so without doubt At 29 he will be snapped up. Suspect force will get him as they need another lock and given as mentioned wife’s Perth link. At 29 he has plenty of seasons left in him

With the rising COVID issues in Sydney and trial matches only 4 weeks away, might be time for the Waratahs to start planning another season based elsewhere. Or look at the players entering a quarantine bubble.

Does anybody love them?
Sadly poor executive management and leadership at nswru level made them unlovable.

The good thing is only way is up (or moreso not much room to further bottom vs minimal (read any ‘quality’ strategic effort and investment) to generate upside...umm ok let’s maybe look for Other oz super rugby sides to support...

Tahs apparently chasing Izaia Perese, he is a highly talented player, but jeez he doesn’t have a great reputation. Broke his Reds contract early and then found guilty of some pretty serious drug charges whilst playing with the Broncos earlier this year.

Perese is back in Sydney, I’ll be interested to see whether he ends up at the Tahs.. Not a fan of the guy, but everyone deserves second chances I suppose.

Apparently he's been battling depression for a while. The article about his release says he was hospitalised after absorbing a massive amount of meds after a game in December. Hope he can get his head right. Not a good place to be.

I hadn’t read that article, just heard he was back living in Sydney.
That’s quite sad to hear that he struggled with depression, hopefully returning to Australia helps him out.
