Foketi and Abel are also injured.

I think Perese will be on the wing

Not sure if Whetton did enough, both Wood & Williams can do time at both lock and 6 and looked more dynamic, Whetton did a lot of pointing

Perese will be on one wing with Newsome or Ramm on the other

Seems like an odd comment about Thor, he is a proven 80 minute player after last season and they have a crack at his weight and imply that he needs to be fitter to get back into the game.

I am happy how he is, let the man eat

Nah, despite his scrummaging being first rate he clearly was not doing enough work around the ground which is why he lost his starting gig.

I thought he was good in Super Rugby, dipped off at the end of a long season where he had more minutes on the field than he previously played.

6 days until match day. Reds have lost their captain but still should be the more settled team. I will be interested to see the makeup of the back 5 in the forwards and the outside backs.
The Tahs will be underdogs but have, in my opinion, an underrated forward pack and a top class halves pairing. I think they are a better chance of winning than media are suggesting.

What ever happens I'm pretty excited for where rugby is at right now and that's a long way from where I was only a few months ago. I think it is only pigheadedness that has kept me going because any sane man would have bought a broncos or Lions membership years ago.

Rennie is judging him as having the potential to be the best in his position in the world.

Seems pretty reasonable that if he wants to fulfil that potential he might need to slim down a bit.

It's not like Rennie was making that statement on the basis that it was something Tupou needed to improve to gain selection for the Wallabies (like several players in that list).
