Move along, this is well down the road from boring.

Dang it... I wanted to see where that was going....

Three locks starting though.
Smith and Vermuelen on in the last 20-30 minutes gives them punch from the bench. The first 50-60 minutes is going to be a set piece and kick-athon. Not surprising given our lineout and to a lesser degree our scrummage woes.

So we know what’s coming , question is can we stop it?

Weird team.
Boy especially the 9-10 combo, I thought the 9 was average against ABs, and moving 15 to 10 (I know it more because of so many injuries) looks a pretty risky, he normally a centre if not at 15.

Its kinda easy to diffuse if you catch the ball and they don't take you out illegally.
They won the RWC final by monstering England in both defence and at the breakdown. Basically had that game won without having the ball, kicked off to England and just kept belting them. That’s what’s coming this Saturday, or at least what the game plan will be.

Thats how they circle the wagons and it will come from the kick off.
They have a monster pack starting and will try and roll over us early. If we can hold them in the first half we should come home stronger.

Our set piece needs to be much better this week.

Yeah that's been their game plan the last three times we beat them.

Hodge is a gun and contrary views are wrong. Sure, he's not the fastest or most elegant, he makes mistakes sometimes, but he's very safe under a high ball, built like a brick shithouse, kicks with a howitzer boot and has the nous to break lines and find the tryline.

What's not to love?

He's not "very safe" under the high ball. He had a solid game but he's known for a few howlers too.

Lots of love for him at the moment. And rightly so for stepping in when needed. But he is not Mr. Consistent, one of the reasons he's never locked down a starting position is that in previous years he's known for making a fair few mistakes or poor decisions - high ball errors one of those.
I hope with the experience he has now he won't make those same errors.

But let's compare him to say Kellaway - Now he is Mr. Consistent. Has he every played a bad game?

100% agree mate. Very pleased to see him hitting his straps and getting recognition.

Watching Vunivalu for Wests, the man is talented but still pretty unpolished. Amazing strength in contact though. Can't see him getting in the 23 when all fit.

Right, colours to the mast: Boks by 4.

We've not put together consecutive good performances in a while.
New stadium.
Night time footy.
Bit of rain predicted.
Boks to stop thinking so hard and just rugbying harder instead.
Our back 3 will have a 'mare and we'll come crashing back down to earth, just like Pumas week 2
