NSW handling in the Backs is fantastic.

14 is rapid. Tiny bit of space and he’s gone. Impressed by Ekanayake and Goddard in the forwards so far.

QLD can sure produce some tall boys.

Intercept try Fakafanua. Converted Sharples
17-0 at 32min

And Palmer (actually) in the other corner after a great regain off Sharples kick. Conversion good.
24-0 with maybe a minute left

I know the score says 24-0. But it hasn’t been as one sided as that suggests. Actually a good quality game of rugby so far. Some great skills among the players. Apologies I don’t know names anymore!

But well done so far to both and excellent work NSW. I want to highlight the NSW reserve hooker that has come on, after a game in the seconds and has managed to hit the tail of the lineout with ease despite probably not practicing in this this lineout - some great throwing.

If he is as pinpoint as he was there all the time, he could be in the Tahs early like Jorgensen.
I hope NSW lock him up but I think 9s need a couple years to develop physically. A lot contact in defence and ruck involvements than an outside back.

Backrowers like Ardie Savea and Valetini are just a bit different to Schoolboys.

9,12,15 for me are the positions most watched during these games looking across Australian depth.

And Kerr scores for Qld after a lot of possession and penalties. Conversion good

Good work by Palmer and Fakafanua for another NSW try both breaking tackles.
38-7 at 59 with another Sharples conversion.

It's crazy to think that their still missing 2 Roosters/Waratah players- Blake Steep and Grayson Reimer.

Also crazy to think that their whole backline apart from No. 10 (Henry James) and No. 9 (Hunter Ryan) is in year 11.
Hopefully the Scots injury boys return this term, such a stitchup for Grayson Reimer, great player but he's been battling injuries ever since he started playing firsts in year 10. I assume he'll play some good footy after school once he can finish the rehab.

Looked like both NSW front rowers swapped out with 17/18 on. Fakafanua also rested and others. 20/21/23 on. Durbridge also off.
