Ahhhh 2010. A day that will live long in the memories of those who were there. The day Joeys team of nobodies beat the Kings 1st XV with 10 Australian Schoolboys (when it was the best team you could make). Joeys wrecked the Kings perfect season and then the fence. Photo snapped by yours truly at the time.

Will Joeys do this again? Can history repeat itself? Will there be a half decent pie at the paddock?

Why do Joeys always feel the need to destroy other schools property?

Will see what I can find out, Kings are a bit sluggish getting the results up but they will be there eventually. As an aside, as the 3rds are an actual GPS comp shouldn't they be included? Wouldn't be hard to insert it on your spreadsheet retrospectively, maybe the same weight as the 16A's?

EDIT: re the 3rds I understand that Newington aren't in the comp, but maybe they could just get draws for the whole season, or use their 4ths (their actual 3rds) results. Maybe too complicated, I can see why the 3rds are left out haha

I think the New 13-16B's played Kings C's, which will make it difficult.

Feedback from players from many schools and Cluch viewers is the JS White is the best rugby field for players and spectators - perhaps there is a bit of jealously from Joeys supporters about the 'lower paddock'

Yes, they are really strong. They have the likes of Xavier Alosio- elusive halfback who runs hard and Callum Zhu- quick winger who is really putting on size
Am a Shore supporter but have not heard of these 2 players, have they been injured or just in a lower team, nevertheless excited to watch them both next year. But to answer Ghost's question Shore seem to have a top heavy Year 11 cohort obviously with Le Maitre, but they have 5 in the 1sts in total as well as the 2nds 15 who is a standout from my view. I believe that Shore should have a good chance at competing next year, as this cohort were undefeated in 15As (Lost 3 players to the opens moving to 16As.)
Collector.

You are half right - 13Bs and 14Bs both played each other, Kings 15Bs and 16Bs played the TAS A teams. I doubt it will affect the final rankings @Joker, what do you do though, give Kings and New 1 pt each?

I don't think it's a lack of fitness I think it has a lot to do with what BITOD says below.

They aren't setting a platform to work from. From that point they look flustered and lack cohesion and it relies on an individual to make a play over what you saw from Riverview by creating opportunities through flowing Rugby and support play. In a few of the Scots games I've watched this year they float in and out of games and keep the score close through a few very impressive moments. View kept their foot on the throat and didn't let them get within striking distance. I genuinely think the score is closer than what the game was. Tough first 10 mins 0/0 then the last two Scots tries had a bit of a look about them that View had it sewn up.

Brial needs a running mate in the forwards. He goes from whistle to whistle and generally takes two to bring him down. Get another ball runner immediately after and now you have a broken defence and I'd get the ball to the 12, 15 as quickly as possible.
Some great points TGOR. We need someone to back up Brial, it seems obvious, just not sure why the coaching staff cannot put those structures in place. Very frustrating to watch, unfortunately another season over that sees a quality team not really hit the mark.

An accident like at Leichardt.

At the end of the game the team ran over to the fence area. 1000 boys surged forward and the metal fence bent slowly and gave way.
A few fell into the oval but that was it. Joeys paid for the replacement of the fence.

FUN FACT. That night a daring raiding party of parents breeched the Kings defences and stole a picket.
This is now on display in Jack's Bar at the Joeys ground. It was signed by the team and presented to Br Anthony Boyd.

Oh pish, posh. Mr Andrew Parry has gone on record saying the Joeys playing surface is pristine.
Kings is a wonderful surface with great drainage but it is still a cricket ground.
Mind you the after game spread is first class something many schools should aspire to.
Scots is good. Newington is generous. Shore is very welcoming and View is....alright. Very Jesuit in nature.
