One day into this world cup, and from the mainstream and social media coverage and it’s evident how big the game is globally .. being in Australia we are so insular with the other domestic sporting comps … we really do forget this .. it’s a shame… It should really inspire us to grow the game here because we truly do have such a massive advantage globally.

I think we are all hopeful, confident even for a lot of us, the next 4 years brings the nation that inspiration

On saying this, there has been spare seats in several games so far. The game as a whole is doing better than it is here, but there is definitely a malaise throughout the world and I’d say less support than was on offer in 2019.

Issue is as a national we look to Netball, AFL, League, swimming.

Basketball, Soccer, Rugby the world sports are totally overshadowed by backyard version's of the same.

Can't see it changing

I know they were playing Romania, but jeez Ireland look slick. The constant bodies in motion they have in attack gives Sexton so many options.

I've actually been pleasantly surprised by the coverage in Aus so far. Lots of chat with friends / family etc. Maybe I was expecting no coverage - and some seems like a lot.
