How about Ray Price, Ken and Dick Thornett? IIRC all were current Wallabies when they moved across to League. In earlier times, Arthur Summons (I think was the current Wallaby captain) and Keith Holman. There are plenty of others.

Ken Thornett never played for the Wallabies. I am almost certain Keith Holman never played rugby at all. But you are right, there were plenty of others. Pretty much every season we would lose 2 or 3 rep players.

Ok. Tell me the league wingers who tackle properly?
Jimmy, I assume they have several to choose from, we have very few... The guys who might make the list like Paisami just hit and hope and often leave a hole in the line as their hit is off, we don't have a system to support a rush defence.

Not sure how Paisami's defensive style is relevant to a conversation on league wingers tackling ability but what I will say is the tackling styles in both codes are very much different these days. Wing is probably the most comparable position though and most league wingers jam in on the second last attacker. So I don't think he will learn much specifically in relation to tackling style.

Based on the hatred for Jones if I was Waugh I'd organise an inbound test or two with Japan. Imagine the press.

This is such a no brainer. It's like a WWE storyline at this point, Eddie is the perfect bad guy. Organise a joint press conference with Eddie and a couple of Wallabies / RA reps taking shots at each other. Start Michael Hooper and Quade just for the heat, or at least involved in some way. It would be money.

If Japan start to trend back towards t1 status under Jones. Can we finally burn the constitution and the state authorities to the ground? It would be an inditement of the Aus system. Btw Joseph did an amazing job with Japan but the last 4 years the game has failed to progress in Japan and gone backwards from where they were.

On saying all this, Jones remains a classless and lying fool.

Agreed, maybe even a boxing match? Cutty can be Eddies trainer.

Plenty of League Journos were quick to jump on Rugby for the tackle height saying it's their last gasp but its being done now through English Rugby League from Junior - Senior Amateur competitions. Will filter up in some capacity to the English Championship then Super League.

Key changes being introduced in English rugby league

  • Legal contact lowered from shoulder height (below the neck) to armpit (below the shoulder) at community and age grade levels, taking in Super League’s reserve grade competition
  • Contact below the shoulder is recommended to be introduced at professional level - Super League - from 2025
  • Match limits in a 12-month period to restrict possible concussion exposure
  • Contact rugby league to be replaced by touch/tag progressively until 2026, when under 9s and younger will play non-tackle rugby league

Or Tom Decent has published 3 months early on the eve of a crunch match destabilising team moral
Playing devil's advocate here - TD isn't beholden to RA/Wallabies to withhold news. His role is to report news etc when it breaks. He's beholden to his employers to do his job.

Maybe he could have waited? But then, some other journo would have reported it, and his employers would have asked him why.
