Gotta say Lindo, 3pm is a bit early for me too. Will be there to pull you out of your bowl of 9% Belgian beer at 5

Quoting Gagger from 28/6: "Editorial meeting" that Friday afternoon/evening somewhere with serious tap facilities.

Bar area set aside for G&GR crew from 3:00pm, table for dinner available from 5:30. I'll arrive early, with a book!

Scarfy, I'll try to get my young bloke to pick us up; would 10:00pm suit you?

Heritage Belgian Beer Cafe in Harrington Street booked for 3:00pm on Friday. We had the first G&GR Christmas do here in 2008 and I thought it was a great venue. But, more importantly, it's quite close to Wynyard Station for those who need to use PT. The Belgian beers on tap here are something to behold; the wines (sniff, sniff) are crap, they obviously don't buy from me.

For those of you who haven't been to the HBBC it's in Harrington Street, The Rocks, literally behind Grosvenor Place which is 225 George Street. That's up the Quay end of George Street near the Regent Hotel (now called the Four Seasons, some fool changed the name!). The HBBC is near the corner of Grosvenor Street, just along from St Patrick's Church.

Could I PLEASE have some indication of attendance?

I'd be in any other time given I work in grosvenor pl, but I am flying up the coast at 3pm on Friday so will miss you by an hour or so.

Yep, I can be there for dinner and a drink or two. Lindo, are you sure about 3pm?

Gentlemen, our usual spot is BOOKED from 3:00pm, please feel free to arrive any time from then on which suits you. Dinner table is booked from 5:30pm. I deliberately chose this (excellent tap) venue due to its suitability for city suits and its closeness to Wynyard Station. At a pinch we could carry any happy G&GR troopers to a train.

I can get in by about 5. Ready to be drunk under the table by Generation Y, "The Binge Generation"?

Good to see the Sydney boys milking the hard work of the Reds for all that it is worth - any excuse to get together for a beer though right? I hope you will be able to back up Saturday night Gags!

Don't worry, he'll man up given his Joeys background...he'll catch up on the rest whilst on the plane back to the Old Blighty afterwards...

I find Evian between my White wine spritzers keeps me in top shape.

PS - I'm in Sydney!

I will pop in after 5. No dinner for me - eating is cheating - but will avail myself to some of the exotic Belgian brews. I will be the one waxing lyrical about my Saturday night at Mary Poppins.

Look for the group oozing charisma. And me - I actually look like a massive gelatinous eye.

I'm guessing someone will either have a Wallabies jersey or scarf. No worries.

Of course, following this thread with close attention, as it has progressed I am mortified to note that there is no suggestion that the happy Sydney GAGR band will, at least in part, be bedecked in that glorious colour with just three letters...at the very least, could there be a symbolic red handkerchief somewhere?
