I don't follow mungo ball but I do know that Gus Gould (face like a melted gumboot) has recently called for David Gallop to step down. I for one would like to know a) what is his track record for the NRL? b) Would he be someone who would do well in Rugby administration? and c) How can we oust O'Neill and make it happen?

hypothetically....

I think David Gallop would do well in the ARU. His biggest problem with the NRL has been dealing with off field controversies.

Without nearly as many of those sort of incidents in rugby, he'd probably have a much better time of it.

Get rid of the power hungry self serving politically motivated and the CEO will look after itself.

Any names or is this just a general "get it fixed" comment?

It is both. I have some knowledge of individuals but by no means a complete list.
Unfortunately the prestige that goes with state and national board positions in many cases attracts the wromg candidate.

For a moment I misread Swat's post and thought he meant getting Gus into rugby.

There's tea and Timtams all over my keyboard and it came out my nose.

Oh sh*t! I just reread it. Definitely not Gus Gould! I wouldn't want him looking after my enemies children.

I think Gallop given the degenerates he has to deal with week in week out would be a fantastic candidate to run the ARU.

Particularly knowledgable in where the NRL is trying to work with getting juniors and the threat of AFL.

He went to UNSW and was a cricketer so he can't be too bad a bloke.

He opened the bowling for UNSW with Geoff Lawson.

id like to get Gary Flowers back, guy had gusto, never worried about the bottom line and success, only doing stuff.

that's worrying, perhaps you should look up Leeds Utd to understand the importance of bottom line in Sports adminsitration. We dont want to be bailing you out again ala the 70's :)

I would go for Carmichael (I think that's his name) the CEO of the Red's. He seems to be as influential in their turn around as Link. Carmichael to CEO and Link to head Coach and we would be unstoppable...

Fer gods sake Blue - some of us are recovering from hangovers.... This sort of word imagery really doesn't help!
