Why? You can't force someone to support a team.
And if the Reds are playing he has every right to wear it.

He will just look like a bit of a dick when they aren't.

Erm, thanks for the support Matty. I think....

I was actually being a bit cheeky, Sir Arthur.

Just to be clear, I am not a Rebels fan. I am a Reds fan who happens to live in Melbourne, and this is how I can get to watch rugby.

I will certainly cheer and support the Rebels against all other teams, but when my boys come to town to battle the Rebels, I will be wearing Red and baying for Rebel blood.

:D

I was going to do the same thing, but noticed where your allegiance lies.

Thumbs up for financially supporting the team, LOL for choosing the most expensive membership (besides the Weary).

if you're a rebels member...be a rebels member and a rebels fan. none of this wear your reds jersey bs. back the team throughout the season. wear your rebels, don't boo the reds, applaud when they do something good, but back the rebels.

Are you being serious? Back the Rebels against the Reds? Due to circumstances, I am a Rebels member. Due to choice, I am a Reds fan.

I'll toe the line for the first 7 home games the Rebels play, but on the 8th home game against the Reds, I will be a shining beacon of Red in a sea of blue......

If your in a sea of blue, you'd be in Perth, I'd worry then.

Well, my wife adores Kurtley, my son idolises JOC (James O'Connor), I personally think Stirling was one of our greatest warriors and AAMI park is a bloody great venue to watch a game. All in all, if I can't be sitting at Suncorp, this is the next best thing available in Oz rugby.

Go the Rebels!*

*As long as they don't beat the Reds and finish lower than the Reds in the Oz conference.....

I don't get people who wear a team's jersey to a game where that team isn't playing. E.g. a Reds jersey to a Rebels v Tahs match or more confusing a Hurricanes jersey to Reds v Tahs (saw that last year at Suncorp). I know that they are wearing the jersey of the team they support but it says to me I am at this game under sufferance.

Matty, I was only talking about wearing my Reds jumper to the Reds v Rebels game.

For all other games, I'll be wearing whatever I can to simply stay warm....

Danny Cipriani hasn't been selected in the England squad. The flyhalves are Charlie Hodgson, Toby Flood (currently injured) and Owen Farrell. Nor did he make the England Saxons 'A' squad - Ryan Lamb, Freddie Burns and Billy Twelvetrees (although selected as a centre).

you can't force anyone to support a team. but if you support them, ya gotta support them day in day out! not most weeks of the year.
just my thoughts and I assure you I won't be trying to force anyones support!

only giving you a hard time Dazzler! in heaven, we're all rebels fans.

nothing wrong with buying the best seats in the house for a few extra schloons.

I never expected him to be selected but I'm not sure that's entirely the case regarding foreign based players. Stade Francais lock Tom Palmer made the cut.

I believe where England is concerned it is no player outside of Heinekin cup. i.e. play in europe and you have a chance. PLay on the other side of the world and you are on your own.

Perhaps the policy will change with Lancaster but Johnson said that not playing in the English Premiership would significantly hurt a player's selection chances. In other words, you're out unless you are so bloody good that we can't afford not to pick you or we have an injury crisis.

To the person who was talking about people wearing jearseys of non playing teams to games, I have one response: Go to an A-League game. It's a footballing disease that's infecting rugby.

Opposite problem occurs when you wear a Pennywise shirt to a Pennywise concert. Or any other band for that matter that hasn't totally sold out.

The good old roll out the football response, original material on this forum.

Do you go to A-League games btw? Plenty of knobs wear Liverpool, Barca etc...

Why not wear a Rugby jersey to an Aussie Rules game? Or vice versa, that's right you'd look like a idiot.

Pretty sure that they are only selecting those playing in England, however, an exception has been made for those with contracts pre-dating the introduction of the policy - such as Tom Palmer.
