Brave coaches putting U16's up against the U18 (opens). Didn't realise.

Wonder what difference if any Walker may have made in the ISA U16 team in their game v GPS1?

Slightly unrelated but still buggered how we manage to touch up QLD from time to time in the U16's at Nationals, but when the NSW group turns up to Opens (often two years later) and an extra year older, the QLD mob seem to have the wood on us despite one less year of rugby development.

Quite a few surprise inclusions and omissions from the NSW Schools team. Jack Bowditch makes the team even though he didnt trial due to injury, Henry Hutchinson is an under 15 and hasnt done much to warrant selection and Jack Mcgregor didnt even feature at GPS trials and makes the team (also an under 15). Mason Cohen the only Joeys boy selected in NSW, whilst a great player you would have thought Tim McCutcheon, Josh Canturi and Latrell Robinson deserved a spot ahead of these four. For me the Sydney team looks far stronger and will be the top team from NSW.

Daily Telegraph sports scoreboard p86 in the City version.

Will type up full list later if it isn't posted on the relevant web sites (juniors and NSW Schools) shortly.

Jack Mcgregor and Henry Hutchinson?!?! I know Henry is an outstanding player but having Jack in there is really going to test him.

yeah a huge jump from named as 2nd 10 in MNZ U15, not named in the program in the schools 16s from what i can see, though he is named in the Sydney 15s

back room negotiations haven't included age difference here
I suppose "all animals are equal......"

whatever

If i'm not mistaken CCC got it usual quota of players into Schools - the big fat donut:confused:.

A few were named in country, but that side was selected before the school trials.

I can even accept players being selected who didn't play the state titles due to being in the opens trials, but a 15 year old being selected from a zone side - shows what a mockery the selection process is.

Oh well as they say, history will continue to repeat itself if you do not learn from your past mistakes.

I hear there are a few additional players added to these lists. Milad Ferris from CCC is in the Sydney team, for one. Any others people know of?

Strange that his name not on list I know he was injured for the schools but that didnt stop other injured boys getting through. Very surprise if he and Jack Conen are left out both NSW players last year.

Country and NSW Schools only listed 23 selections, so Sydney could only formally present 23 selections. They have also selected Milad. I believe they have a squad of 25, so there is another player not listed as well... don't know who.
