GT only have 3 kids on scholarship at the moment and these brothers kids are yet to come I wouldn't call 5 players heavy recruiting

They were the sibblings of just 2 players in my brothers teams i mentioned. I know for a fact that gt has recruited at least 2 players from the sunnybank u14 div 1 side and at least 1 player (90Kg) inside from the sunnybank u15 team. One of my best mates dad is the coach of the u14 team and recomended them to the gt sporting director. These recruits are in addition to the ones mentioned in my previous post. Yes this means that terrace (who apparently only give sporting merit in enrolemnt for grade 8) have at the very least 5 new student next year. A bit hypocritical wouldnt you say.....

Don't be a dick about it? are you fucking serious light. From the start you said grammar weren't a chance at the premiership and now look what they have achieved. Face facts and concede defeat, churchie are useless and grammar are premiers. Eat it bitch.
jeez they obviously don't encourage humility at your school

You might not like how he said it, but it's definitely a valid point. Light spent the majority of the pre-season talking about Churchie's definite centenary year premiership, and wrote Grammar off completely. Not only that, but he immediately shot down anyone who predicted even a podium finish for BGS, yet alone a premiership. As it stands Churchie had a terrible season across the board, whilst BGS are the 2012 1st XV champions. Draw your own conclusions.

Okay mate i believe you and I'm all for GT giving scholarships, they still do it the least out of the GPS schools. I spoke abit early on your comment about heavy recruiting i thought you were only talking about the players at terrace now which there are only 3. 2 Grade 10 and 1 Grade 11. didn't think about the recruiting for next year. My bad

Jayden Rodwell and Dylan Sikimeti packed down in those positions, but were wearing the opposite jerseys (6 and 8 respectively). Also, shouldn't Jack Tuttle and Maclean Jones be swapped around?

Fair cop. Although it looks like light has been personally vilified on this thread.

A bit of a beacon for criticism now considering he was probably the most prominent pro-Churchie poster on this forum- with his constant appraisal of Eason over Greene not helping either.

Most thought grammar was going to finish 3-6 and that churchie and nudgee would fight it out, light wasn't the only one that thought that and the above post from a grammar kid was disgraceful, its embarrassing "eat it. bitch" very classy. But i do agree with you on the Eason over Greene point. Eason was atrocious this season. Greenes boot is god-like. He is no Dalgleish in the other aspects of the game but.

I don't want to ignite another "Greene vs. Player X" debate but I think anyone who watched Greene play throughout the season would beg to differ. His boot is obviously his best asset in both goal kicking and all aspects of general play, but he's an exceptionally well rounded talent. His pass distribution is incredible setting up many tries through long passing and short balls alike, his counter-attack from fullback has been consistently threatening and his ability to command a backline and team on the whole has brought solidity to the Grammar side. Dalgleish is a great talent but I still think Greene's all round ability exceeds his.

A bit off topic but with this talk about who the best fly half is ive just put together my backline dream team. I am telling you now i have only seen a few teams play so you may rightfully disagree. I will probably spell most of the names wrong to.

9. Dyring (BBC)
10. Dalgleish (GT)
11. Tenakanai (NC)
12. Tuttle (NC)
13. Heenan (GT)
14. Ioane (ACGS)
15. Placid (TGS)

After watching GT play twice and at rep trials Dalgleish is the best fly half and his kicking game is underated though still not as good as Greens. James is a gun howver i think he would struggle when put into a totally new team. Never saw TSS, TGS, BSHS or IGS play so they might have a better outside then Heenan?

For the record, all these Grammar posters who are saying they are the best school boy team in Australia and who are victimising Light for not predicting you to win it (and rightly so), you need to realise that you go to Grammar. You have been the laughing stock of the GPS for years and need to remember that this is the first time you have won outright in 40 years. I am not being biased but Nudgee have won the cup 39 times and we have never been as arrogant as some BGS posters on here. Congratulations on winning something and savour it becuase i dont think you will win again in a very long time.

Mate you might have a point, and I am not for or against either school, but to say "I am not being biased but Nudgee have won the cup 39 times and we have never been as arrogant as some BGS posters", genuinely made me laugh. Not only is that the pure definition of bias, but I might just add that Nudgee isn't the most humble school, especially after seeing them lose to TSS this year and some of their actions afterwards.

After yesterday's game. I would be inclined to say that Greene is the best flyhalf followed by James.

Fair call. Again I think James is probably the best in the comp when playing for Nudgee because he understands his players so well. Put him in a rep jersey and i think he would struggle but you never know. Greene is bloody good. At first all i heard was his kicking game however from what ive heard he sets up a lot of play as well. Maybe if a had seen Green play i would say different but even as an NC old boy i think Dalgleish is the premier #10.
