Any notable school trial match performances or anything to speak of?
I know there were a few trial matches played by most GPS schools. It was interesting to see that the TSS team (albeit missing a few players) lost to a certain New Zealand school who said they lost to Brisbane Grammar before that. I wonder if there is any truth to this.

We beat Hamilton International in a 50 over game but lost in a twenty20. I assume this is what you're talking about? we also played Tauranga boys school and lost

Perhaps, but they wouldn't exactly be familiar with the favourites' tag would they ;)

Will be interested to see how they perform under this expectation - Churchie didn't like it in rugby did they.

The Terrace team felt like the were the best this year and were pretty annoyed when they didn't even place. They have A standard rugby players who didn't play this year because they were training for cricket so i highly doubt they are going to choke again.

Very disappointed to see TSS go down at home this week. Fielded a very strong team but you have to hand it to Terrace skipper Sam Wilson carrying his bat for about 110.

Kuhnemann bowled tight but the team just didn't click this week.

From a fairly reliable source I heard that BGS got the double bonus point against Nudgee after posting 230 ish.

Captain (Fleming) and 2nd year fast bowler (Hammelman) are reported to have suffered season ending injuries which would no doubt be a considerable blow to their season aspirations.

The Nudgee top 6 which includes Mcrae, Vorster, Hanley and Jones could do some damage throughout the season if underestimated.

Churchie would rue their decision to bat first against State High, fitting in their full 50 overs before the rain came.

The BBC TGS game was delicately poised at 9/130 before the rain ruined the day.

Speaking of Churchie I would rate them as dark horses for this year. Following the departure of some key players, it seems they are being written off as contenders.

Connor Read I believe bats in the middle to lower order for churchie.

Disregard them at your peril...

I'm guessing that you must have some personal history!

I'd say that you are an opening bowler for terrace or grammar? Would you like to provide an insight in your team for the season?

yeah mate, im the guy that is apparently "2nd year fast bowler (Hammelman) are reported to have suffered season ending injuries which would no doubt be a considerable blow to their season aspirations."

My apologies. I was misguided it seems.

While you might talk up your chances, I just don't think you guys have the depth to match that of Ipswich or TSS, especially given a season ending injury to your captain and number 3? Or 4? Batsman.

Lets see how it unfolds.

Just a warning that the mods are watching this thread, so please keep it civil. Just talk cricket, no juvenile shit.

In short, no dickheads. This rule will be vigorously enforced.

I struggle to see how you think BGS would have no depth, given the supposed loss of Fleming. Going on "The King's" estimation of their team this year, they still have 4 QLD reps in their top 6, including Renshaw who I read was top scorer at the recent Aus U-17 championships in Tasmania. It would be a big loss but it wouldn't completely derail their title hopes.

you really know your facts unlike someone.

Globetrotter: who does TSS have this week?

Rasmussen has been in good pre season form.

Off topic, why did you say you were going to target a certain Connor read?
