The Blues are destroying them. The Blues look very strong. Amazing turnaround

Crusaders have too many skinny white boys in the backs. They also look underdone. no chance of a title without Sir Richie.

My Darkness mate (from the Windy City) reckons that the Jaffas are the Manly of NZ Rugby.

He reckons some of his Pig Island mates (his term for Canterbury and Otago) would sooner barrack for an Oz team than the Jaffas.

Regardless you have to be impressed with the clinical way they dealt with the Boys from Earthquake city.

Thats funny. We in the south often refer to the North Islanders as Pig Islanders.
Although we took mean and spiteful pleasure at the sight of the Blues getting smashed last year, it is a bit of an exageration to think us Mainlanders would support a West Island team over a NZ team, even if it is Auckland.

I always had doubts about their try scoring this season. Fruean is just way too inconsistent. Dagg / Carter only threats.

teach, There are some who would say that those from Wellington are just like our Canberrans. Bloody useless Public Servants who spout lots of theory, think in little sound bites, and live in splendid isolation with no idea about reality.

Blues delivered the smack down on the Saders. Missing Sir Ritchie and Zac "i'll have another" Guildford.

I'm in Fiji and was at a wedding while the game was on but I can't wait to see a replay or at least the highlights.

The Blues look to be the real deal this year....cheeeehoooo!!!!

Blues certainly looked good so far, long way to go before anyone can get too excited ,but good to see Eden Park with a good crowd again, and they deserve it playing that style of rugby. Blues backs Piutau and Halai look pretty exciting prospects, Ranger going well(pity it looks like he off to France), Noakes is playing better at 10 this year, could be because he a fulltime player now and not a student? I also think Blues back up 10 could be good,Baden Kerr, played well for Counties last year. Piri Weepu and Ali Williams are certainly showing everyone they still got some bloody good rugby left in them too. Luatua and Braid at 6& 7 both looking very handy, think Luatua could go to higher honours at some stage.

This cant all be down to Kirwan who has had a lack lustre coaching career to date, based on my casual and infrequent observation.
From an aussie point of view the Blues worry me: strong Auckland = strong Ab's (not that they've been too shabby lateely anyway)

It is a lot to do with Kirwan. He has a passion for the Blues and high standards. He used t coach Italy, and then Japan - hardly top sides. Although there is the small matter of Graham Henry in the loosely defined role of "technical advisor".

About as guilty as you. Took me a while on this site to work out who Two dads, Finger and Squeaky were.
Hmm, pretty sure I neither coined, nor habitually use those. Not saying people can't use what epithets they like, but it seems to take more effort to substitute them for the actual names. As I said, a curiosity.
