The rumours are starting already.
Any firm news on players moving around ?

Where are Randwick getting their cash from,if the licensed club is broke?

Apparently the licenced club was actually borrowing money from the football club's trust fund. The football club gets its money from the same place most of the other clubs do ie sponsors etc. There aren't many clubs left that have their own profitable licenced club ie Souths, Easts (profitable?), Eastwood (actually an RSL?), Norths, and of course Uni is a special case.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Norths is far from profitable from what I hear at the moment and explains the few steps backward they took last season.

I have heard Luke Holmes and Dave Harvey to Norths

Haven't heard that one. Holmes is as Warringah as Narrabeen Sands so couldn't see it happening. Harvey left Norths coz they stopped paying 1st grade match fees so I would very much doubt he'd go back.

But perhaps @BellyTwoBlues knows more about Harvey's final destination than I do.

Really is sad you guys would have a thread for this.

Where's the loyalty in playing for the club you've grown up with for years? I can understand leaving for opportunity... But players wishy washy move elsewhere in Shute Shield because dollars talks & bullshit walks.

Up here in QLD there is only 1 legitamate club willing to throw around the money (there's other clubs who hook up jobs etc)

He's also got a very strong connection with one of the assistant coaches at the Rats.
How can blokes be making decisions about where they're moving when the 3rd tier arrangements will give some clubs a ticket to the ball and make other cindarellas at best.

I've heard Andrew Kellaway (Aust Schools fullback) has chosen Randwick as nect seasons destination & they've promised him a 1st XV spot...
