Word is he walked out of Norths last week. Maybe he should try his hand in subbies?

Had a look at norths training last week and numbers were ordinary, but colts must of had around 50-60. Colts session seemed more intense than the grade, but the grade session seemed pretty good, looking to change structures, but not sure why the poor turnout.

I don't know Dave Harvey personally but struggle to comprehend how one bloke can play at so many different clubs without looking in the mirror and asking himself if it's all a gee up.

Off the top of my head the list includes the Bunnies, Parramatta, Gordon, Norths, Warringah, Narbonne, Western Force and now apparently West Harbour.

He'd have to be odds on favourite to win best kit at any training session for any club in the history of rugby!

Why the angst?
You might have a point,if he never earned a cent, and was purely playing for the love of the game.
But he is a semi pro, obviously there are substantial differences in what clubs offer.if you are playing for a chq, then you go where they want you the most.
I think it's pretty impressive that this is his 13th? Year in the SS.

ILTW, also after changing clubs once, probably for the right reasons as an aspiring professional, it becomes easier to change again each time as you have no emotional links and are merely following the $$$$ and potential opportunity.

Very simplistic to say he has harmed his professional chances by changing clubs to. He would have gone where he had his best opportunity to showcase his talents, and where the clubs administration had had sold him best on the opportunity to advance career.

Sounds like a few keyboard warriors bitter that nobody threw them some $$$$ to change 5th grade teams.

Is this his 3rd club this Pre Season?

Put simply it's unbelievable that one player can hop from one club to another like Harvey does. Whether you like the guy and the way he goes about things is beside the point.

Mate he's a fucking fringe professional.

I don't like playing clubs. I've played for 2 rugby clubs in my life and only because I moved 2000kms. I've in fact refused to talk to players who have left my club to play at another club.

Neither I, nor them, are professional, or aspiring professional rugby players doing whatever necessary to create/maintain/develop a career.

You've listed that he's played for 4 SS clubs, don't throw in the other 4 professional teams who likely didn't extend his contract (hence leaving) to making him sound like more of a toss.

TWAS - watch the language. Plenty of guys switch clubs 1 or 2 times nowadays, it's the way it is. However Harvey's career of club hopping is a running joke within club land.

ILTW - there is no question he can kick a goal or three. Norths have lost players left, right and centre - probably a good reason to welcome him back into the fold?

RIML, I reckon Tony Daly'd give Harvey a run for his money. His clubs are Western Suburbs, Gordon, Eastern Suburbs, Randwick and Manly in Sydney, Brothers in Brisbane and Saracens in London. Add Tony's rep teams, New South Wales, Queensland and Australia, and he tops Dave. Wikipedia informs us he also played for San Francisco Golden Gate. Even Tony's old man reckons he's got more clubs than Jack Nicklaus.

How many clubs has Marshall Milroy turned out for?

Done that

Do you talk to players who have come TO your club from elsewhere?

Dan Parks (aka Compass) is my favourite. Born in Hornsby, played for Wests, Easts, and Souths in Sydney, and now has a club in each of the four home nation clubs - Leeds, Glasgow, Cardiff, and Connacht, along with Scotland.

This is only partially correct as Alan A will be playing in Canberra.
I understand he has named West Harbour as his nominated club.
Irrespective, I am told that Ewen McKenzie has indicated ,for what it's worth, that he wants those S15 players who
are not actively involved in S15 matches , to play their club rugby in Sydney or Brisbane , if that is where they
originate.
