Based on form alone, Rebels should belt us in this one. But I suspect the Force will be pumped for it and it should at least be a decent contest.

I'm like a scorned lover - I want to believe all the promises coming from Rebels HQ about changed ways, improved consistency on and off the fieldand regular Friday nights at AAMI Park with happy endings, but I've been burned too many times over the years to go off half-cocked at this early stage.

Part of me wants to empathise with the Force fans and wish for an even contest with lots of tries and talent on display, but deep down I want a ruthless and hungry Rebels to relentlessly batter Force runners backwards, score five tries and return from the West surfing an irresistible wave of momentum.

Rebels should win.

As a bit of an outsider, it's interesting watching these wo teams.

What is the highest position the Force have ever finished the table on? With 3 years or so, it seems that the Rebels are in a far better postion, playing-wise at least, than the Force are or ever have been.

I don't know where you would find much hope as a Force fan looking at their playing roster but what's been the difference between these 2 clubs?

I think the Force are due for a good performance, they are professional athletes after all and as they say "every dog has his day".

That being said, if both teams show up to play I'd back the Rebels.

I pretty much agree with Tex,
Rebels looked great on Friday, played first half rugby and lead from the front. (Great watching a win where we didn't need a come back)

Force, look flat and uninspired. They did well to hold the Brumbies in the end but their attack looked typical Foley.

My Rugby Math says that the Rebels should win, but that Math has already let me down spectacularly so far.

Just tell me who will win so I don't agonize over my tips between now and the game.

7th in 2007, but when we were 8th in 2009 we were only 5 competition points off 4th place. Two penalties in two games would have seen us through.

I don't think the Rebels are light years ahead of the Force. The only area they have it all over us is in the second row.

I think it would be a good weekend to bet for the Force. The odds will be against them and they are well placed for an upset.

Rebels 1.47 to win
Force 2.60 not to lose.

Rebels should win, so it will be interesting to see if they do.

Will be a forwards' game. If the Rebels can match their intensity from last week and improve their tackle height, they should get it done.

And if it's worth anything to you tipsters, the Rebels really hold the wood on us. What's the current streak, 5 wins?

4 wins in a row, lost the last game of the season at home in our first year. Have won them all since.

Have not lost at NIB though.

possibly not only the back row changing

"Despite their impressive start, McGahan forecast some personnel changes as he works out who are his best 15, with the front row set for a reshuffle.
"We had a few really close selection calls in round one," he said.
"The players who played on Friday night had a good result and individually played well.
"We're still looking at the group and getting a feel for where they are at and who our best players are."

so PAE in for Weekes, Horie onto the bench, Fuglistaler benched for being suckered into the punch, Kingston to start ?
nice change to have lots of viable options to start and fill the reserves bench

Can't wait for this one, NIB is that last stadium to tick off the list for me.

Where is a good Pre-game Pub?

Where is a good Pub to show Ireland v Italy (BOD last game in Dublin) on Saturday night?

Jb O'Rileys I think they may even gave a bus from there to the stadium. Maybe give them a call.
