Alright heres the colours:

Brisbane city - Gold with blue trim
Qld Country - Blue (possibly purple added in)
Perth Spirit - Black and Gold
Rising - Pink and electric blue
Eagles - Black and orangey yellow (probably majoritively orange)
Vikings - Red and white
Rams - Orange and blue (jerseys are dark blue with white and a dash of orange this season to avoid clashes with eagles)
Rays - Red, white, Green and blue
Stars - Black, blue and gold

Summarising:

4 teams with a gold
6 teams with blue
3 teams with both black and gold in their colours
2 teams with red and white in their colours

Lokks like red and white v red and white for the final then.

Maybe the Spirit can do something like the Hurricanes Jersey and have it mostly black with patches of yellow vs. the other teams which are likely to be more yellow (and/or other colours) than black.

Id like to see one of the teams take a Stade Francais approach to jersey design

Sounds like the Rising might be. They've got the colour scheme for it anyway.

It's not a bad idea. Stade Francais make massively more on merchandise sales than any other club rugby team.

And Melbourne is the hipster capital of Australia so why not?

The draw will hopefully be released this week. Someone smart could probably work it out from the information that has been released so far.

I'm saying that we spend all out time thinking about men running around with a ball. Someone with some intelligence might be able to work out what's going on. I'm not nominating to do it though and was hopeful someone would take the bait and do it for me.

Obviously that counts anyone from the ARU out. I lament the capabilities of these supposed business leaders that alledgedly fill the ranks of the ARU executive. For F... Sake Nobody will turn up because by the time everyone finds out what's going on other plans will be made.

I can't speak for everyone but I can't wait around to tell my kids what they can and can't do while I wait for the ARU to put something together.
I apologise for not being a rich north shore wanker who has time and money to sit around and do everything on a whim.

This is the least family friendly sport in the country and it's being run into the ground by a pack of morons.

Is there anybody who can actually shed any light on the reasoning behind the ARU waiting to announce this? Surely there is a reason and I am going to reserve judgement until I hear that, but interestingly they haven't had a problem with the teams that have leaked information.

My understanding is that the teams know the draw, but the finer details where each match will be hosted is/was still been worked through which also needs to tie in with the broadcasters intent as well as giving all teams broadcast time.

I think people need to remember this is a brand new competition, the teams themselves were only established a few months back, there's a lot of moving parts and not a very big budget..

There's no point releasing a draw purely to satisfy the fans, and then having to change it only a few weeks later because a ground hire fell through or a ground is not up to broadcast standards.

Other than those travelling to watch the Country team's country games (there's plenty of them on G&G, but not that many outside of that), it doesn't really matter when they release the draw.

I have a wife a 3 kids who all have busy social lives. It matters to me when the draw is released as I can plan what games I want to go to before they inevitably have something on that clashes and prevents me from going.

I'd like to know the draw so US FANS IN MELBOURNE CAN ACTUALLY KNOW IF THERE'S GAMES AT TIMES OTHER THAN BLOODY FRIDAY NIGHTS!

Actually that is precisely the point. Rugby Union, or any professional sport cannot survive without the fans. It is incumbent upon the ARU to have organised this as quickly as possible.

From the moment they decided they were going to do this, access to appropriate grounds should have been part of the process. Anything less is unprofessional bullshit.

Straight away a draw should have been put together. If for no other reason there are semi-professional players who will have to organise leave to play in the competition.

Player welfare, fan welfare and the game has been treated.....I can't even say it. Seriously, WTF have these people been doing? They are PAID to administer Rugby. This is supposed to be one of the most important developments for the game in this country and people devoting their full-time resources cannot even come up with a viable draw.

No wonder sponsors are as rare as hen's teeth. The ARU can't even tell them where their product will be promoted and when. If I was a company with sponsorship dollars to spend I doubt Id invest in something so uncertain and poorly managed.

I repeat.....WTF have these people been doing?
