For the worst seats in the stadium $89 + booking fees. Is the reason why people stay away.
You seem to be only targeting your existing fan/participant base.

Finally does your leadership core understand the key logistics to making this work in the stadium? E.g. Acoustics, visuals, engaging the punters, song list.etc
Those prices are set by the stadium and are the cheapest you can get without going concession. They wouldn't have the sway to negotiate cheaper tickets than that.
The sweetener is a T-shirt. Sure it's not much but give them a break.

Song list? If you're implying we need anything other than a few witty chants and screaming madness, then perhaps you're mistaking us for Poms! Most of this we should be making up on the spot; that's how the best comedy works!

$89 for Bledisloe is bargain basement given the age in which we live - I paid $96 back in 2000 for nosebleeds at Olympic Park, so this is a freaking revolution.

This is the start of a new age. Link has been sent to save us from ordinary rugby and I mean to do everything in my power to get to a seat where I can cheer and scream and gibber without nearby patrons frowning down their elbow patches at me.

T-Shirt & prematch function that's likely to feature former Wallabies players (yes, I'm making that part up but surely they can drag Sharpey, Marto & Kearns into it).

The $89 isn't too bad. Cheapest origin tickets in Brisbane were $80 for 3rd tier behind the sticks. At least Gold Brigade is ground level. And you get a shirt!

Slightly concerned that kids are allowed into it as could be a bit of swearing going on but then that's also unlikely to rival State of Origin on that front.

I like your enthusiasm mate, and I'm hopeful this group catches on. I'm not sure I agree about making things up on the spot though. Individuals don't band into a group that way.

You raise the example of poms, well, I don;t think in our hate for them we should make the mistake of overlooking what is actually an effective model. The Barmy Army are a disparate group of people who, generally, have never met each other before a tour. But sit down in a section together, do their silly Barmy Army chant and suddenly they are best mates, united in their purpose. Chants and songs are very effective for doing this.

It's not that different to rugby on the field. A group of passionate individuals working alone will not go far. A group working together as a team with like minded goals will. The way to get this supporter group to work is to make a genuine bond between the supporters. Hence, I do think you need a short number of catchy chants/songs made up before the game, and practiced ready to go.

"You're black, and white!
We think you're fucking shite! Go fuck a sheep!"

Hmmm, catchy I know but might need to tone it down a touch for the match.

Hah! I actually think this has great potential. I would just keep it to:

"You in black, and white!
We think you're fucking shite!!"
clap, clap
"Yes, you in...."
and repeat ad nauseum.

It has perfect meter. Just start it directly after an unforced error and add pointing. Gold.

Hardly, Bledisloe might be a premium event in the eyes of the ARU and the diehards but in reality it can't even sell out these days and it only gets close because of the all Kiwis who now turn up to watch the annual flogging of Australia. $89 is outrageous for anyone that is not more than a committed rugby fan, and there aren't many of them in Australia.

I'm not into songs, but some basic chants need to get up first. Just like a good game plan, when certain situations arise you need to act in a team oriented fashion e.g. any time a lineout forms nearby on a kiwi throw, we just start a long "Noooo bro! Noooo bro! Noooo bro!"

And so on

Maybe change your handle to Miserable Troutmouth? That way you can keep the same initials but have it better reflect your contributions.

Maybe reality is a bit too harsh for simple minds like your own then.

Remind me which country's unofficial national anthem references a sheep being forcibly detained for reasons that have never been adequately explained.........

It's clearly about a kiwi backpacker (jolly swagman I.e. unemployed, no fixed address) in Bondi (billabong as a body of water is metaphorical) due to the sheepnapping aspect of it.

Throwing himself in the water when the police turn up to try and "swum beck tu Niu Zulland uz all uv the plen bro!"

Ok, more positive family friendly version still with Kiwi sheep related reference:

"We're Green! We're Gold!
The Kiwi bleating's gotten old!
So win the Cup!
The Bledisloe Cup!"

It's still a massive event. Last year was a poor crowd in Sydney by historical standards but it was still almost 69,000 people. Prior to the construction of Stadium Australia, that was bigger than any crowd we could fit anywhere in Sydney or Brisbane (or NZ).

It is the ARU's pinnacle event and has to be priced accordingly. As people have stated elsewhere, it's an expensive night out but entirely comparable to other premium events.

There is some level of cognitive dissonance in the idea that the ARU needs to introduce casual fans to the game through their highest profile event by offering tickets at lower prices than the lower profile test matches.

Post-Try Song rip off version of Oh When the Saints:

"Oh when the Wallabies, score over there! (point to the try)
Oh when the Wallabies score over there!
Well I want to be in the Gold Brigade,
When the Wallabies score over there!"

With an accent like that he'd have to be a transplanted Sethfreckin. A true kiwi would use his swag, some No. 8 wire & a coupla Briggs & Stratton engines he had lying around to fashion a jet boat for his escape. Jumping in the river & swimming for it is strictly for convicts................

Caught 20min of the TV show last night, wasn't half as awful as I was dreading. Fav bit had to be the Marlins fans going off on the bank - even if it was all for the cameras it was a fucking seriously good effort - followed by TPN's sister & her mate. Already got series link on the go, hopefully the remaining Eps are as good as the first.

Last night's first episode has seen them add around 800 likers on Facebook in a day.

As enthusiasm builds through the rest of the series, I think they'll sell their 3000 seats fairly easily.

Finally got around to watching 'Call of the Wallaby. I quite enjoyed it. They seem a good group. I love Seanny and Swainy's passion for rugby. I may also have a small crush on Tiana.
