A lot of talk about the crowd already and how it will be a disappointment I disa-fucking-gree.

1. Grand Final
2. Crusaders Fans

I want 70,000, anything less is a disappointment. I reckon it may even sell out

Homebush is a mission for people from the East and North, but perfect for people out west (hence why 30k rocked up for the last Brumbies game there), so hopefully the rarity of the event will see every 'Tahs fan - even the part timers - out there in force no matter where in Sydney they live. On top of that plenty of kiwis will go, and if some general sports fans make the trek for the big one it is possible for them to hit 80k.

The NSWRU just need to get their arse into gear and market the fuck out of this match.

"As well as being an excellent ball runner Nadolo has shown a surprisingly safe pair of hands for a man of his size, something he attributes to his junior days in Australia playing AFL." You obviously didn't see big Ratu play for the Tahs a coupla years ago, Ali, nor did you watch him turn out for Manly or Randwick. Before the AFL bit in his history came to light Nemani couldn't catch a cold, never mind a rugby ball. His poor handling was one of the major reasons he didn't make it at the Tahs and shuffled off to France, or wherever. If the Saders have cured his catching malaise, well done Saders.

it's an article of faith among those across the ditch (sic) that Australian rugby players' handling, especially aerial, skills are sourced from the AFL. remember Hansen (the NZ coach) saying something to the effect that "all Australians are good in the air because they all play Australian Rules as youngsters"?

btw, this may be a case where calling a bloke "what'shisname" is justifiable.

I'm out west - its about 10 minutes less from my nearest station (Richmond Line) than it is from Chatswood Station.

So yeah, but nah.

I'm sick of the BS call that Homebush is too far away.
Yes driving can be a pain in the arse, but so is driving to SFS.
Suck it up, plan your trip & make your way out there.
The boys need you, they all commented on how the noise from the crowd spurred them on.

I'm coming from North Bondi - can't get much more East, well except for Vaucluse, but that's only 5mins up the hill - and I've NEVER used distance as an excuse.

I can't wait for this game!!

Go the tahs. I'll be out there. Am already pumped. Devestated at missing the semi last night due to a prior commitment, but was great watching it on a make shift TV in a snooty wine bar. Been talking to people today and plenty are making the effort to go this weekend. I reckon it will be a good crowd.

Just going off what Nemani said himself in a recent interview on radio sports NZ. He attributed his safe hands and kick retrieval to his AFL background. There are a number of reasons why players can struggle under the high ball. Maybe he was down in confidence when in Australia?

Agree. I obviously prefer the SFS for its proximity and it's better suitability to watching any football code played in a rectangular ground, but no force on this planet will prevent me going to our first ever home final! If we could get 80k screaming Waratahs fans going nuts like we did this weekend, we could really help generate an oppressive atmosphere to help our boys and stifle the 'saders.

Plus we will have to try and nullify all the fucking kiwis that will be there
Fucking oath. Nothing worse than being at a home game in Aus and being in the bloody minority... Like when I went to the Bledisloe at the MCG a few years back - more black than gold at that fucking place! Good thing we won haha.
