With the season winding up, and the Scots Juggernaut looking unstoppable, I'm turning my attention to next season. So, let's talk GPS 2015. What does everyone see transpiring next season?

Truly believe it will be a much closer comp in first XV in 2015.....with year 12's leaving, U16a's moving up, year 11 2nd 15's stepping up, etc etc........its a little too early to tell without seeing the potential player rosters.

It's however well within the realms of possibilities the powerhouses of this years First XV comp will not fare as well as they have this year......subject of course to an entire village of irregularities being drafted in...;)

Hmmmm...interesting. I thought more of the current First XV were in year 12 and they would have had more turnover than just 7 players.

Harry todd is a converted back rower playing 2 for the first season - big move to go all the way to 1.
Wouldn't be surprised if you see at lock rather than in the front row.
I think your inside backs will be different too.

Maybe a discussion for another thread. But how many of this proposed 2015 team started year 7? Just trying to get some sort of a gauge as to how much Scots will fall back to the field next year, and if we can expect anything resembling a fair comp for the the other 5 schools.

Nic Shannon is a good young player, however i don't know if he has the physicality to cut it in the 1sts, i like Dan England at 10 for scots currently and i would be reluctant to change that, and from what ive seen from Simpson he would cut it in firsts, has been tearing up these past few weeks

Without Crichton/Rudolf, Kellaway/Starkey and Horwitz/Whatzits from the prev 3 years respect. I think they will be found wanting for a combination that will beat all-comers.

I think joeys are snapping to be a force in the gps next year with a very strong year coming through with many 1st and 2nd XV players returning! I'm guessing that joeys and scots will be the two front runners with shore, newington, kings and view all being on a similar path.

You come to expect that Joeys will ALWAYS be a strong force, (I think in the history of the world they have come last once)

Regarding Shannon at no. 10, he's a good young player, physicality may be a problem however. Look for possibly 2nds flyhalf Poiner to maybe come in? A small fella but with a bit of added weight may fit in well meaning that England can slot into what i think to be his natural position at 12.
Heres my prediction:
1. Max Girdler 1sts
2. Dylan Woods 1sts
3. Jack Bours 16a's

Aren't there quite a few 16's playing in Shore first XV already?

Anyone else have predictions on the other schools first XV squads for 2015?
