I thought Foxtel had foregone their digital rights in the last few days?
There was no digital broadcast due to the late decision by them ?

No, just the digital rights to the games which aren't broadcast via Foxtel... So the one game per week which is selected for broadcast will be on the Foxtel digital platforms as well.

All sports which are broadcast on Foxtel are also broadcast the digital broadcast platforms of FoxtelGo and FoxtelPlay.

Do you really need constructive comments for something already covered in the rules?

Rules, no discussing of illegal streaming or torrents on this forum, this forum has been referenced in the media several times in the past and it's known that specific people within the upper echelons of the rugby world in Australia peruse this forum. People within this forum receive media accreditation from rugby organizations in Australia and also inside access into some rugby organizations.. There are rules for a reason, it's to protect the interest of this site and the people who run it..

FoxtelGo and FoxtelPlay are the only two only platforms for streaming the games broadcast live by Foxtel, if you don't have either of those then you could head to the pub or follow the updates on Twitter...

The QRU will stream the other QLD games live which aren't broadcast by Foxtel, reportedly other clubs are investigating similar concepts, it's not as though this comp is inaccessible to those without Foxtel..

Yep that would be satisfactory.

Notice that i didn't (and nor would i) post the link. Whilst i had hoped there was a legal one, Foxtel, going to the pub and trying to get a pub in suburban sydney to put a 3rd tier rugby game on television whilst 2 of the most supported tier 1 Rugby League matches is on proves difficult in application and affordability.

I believe most of the games will end up being streamed by the end of the comp. Foxtel only gave permission last week (I think someone explained it here, or it was in an article, or maybe on the Foxtel coverage), so teams haven't had time to organise streaming options.

QRU, as mentioned, will stream all non-Thursday night games of the Queensland teams, starting next week (as Qld Country have the bye). Some other teams were also named as definitely streaming next week (as the notice was too short to prepare for this week), while others were named as definitely not having the capacity.

Just keep a sharp eye out, hopefully people will post links to (legal) online streams here.

And when it happens, make sure you put those streaming servers under severe strain so that the fish heads know we're watching. It gives them bargaining power and gives us more rugby.

Get your mates onto it too!

Dont have time to read all the previous comments above so apologises if this is a repeat. Watched the NRC last night after training and thought it was great. The rugby heads at work all watched it and felt the same. How come only 1 game a week on Fox?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step.

If its popular enough, Fox may even look to up the ante this year if they can get the equipment and some sponsored airtime.

Had a quick look at ratings and the game didn't push it's way into the top 20 program's on PayTv for Thursday which means it drew less then 39'000...

That's the reason Foxtel are only broadcasting one game a week.

Baby-steps indeed, it's not a massive concern at this stage of the tournament given it's infancy but if by week 6 the games are still drawing less then 39'000 and not breaking into the Top 20 program's on PayTV then it would be a little concerning.
