The cross-benches must be rather full these days.

Getting fired up at other citizens over politics is for old men.

Save the vitriol for the problem: politicians. None of them are right, or even in the same postcode as it. The reason they can't find it is they're using their moral compass for directions, and every direction is true north.

Wouldn't mind so much if that meant they were all confined to the South Pole.

Yep the bastards don't even steer towards magnetic north. No wonder they don't gravitate towards us in the electorate.

Editorial in today's herald. Pretty much sums up my views on both NSW and Federal politics at the moment.

The distance between Parliament House, Macquarie Street, and Parliament House, Canberra, is about 280 kilometres down the Hume and Federal highways, a three-hour drive on a good run. On some days, however, the two seem a continent apart.

For all their surface similarities – athletic, religious, ex-private school students from Sydney's north – there are emerging differences in the manner in which Mr Baird and Mr Abbott approach the business of government.
