Well I did my part!

I've watched it three times now.

Had a quick look at ratings and the game didn't push it's way into the top 20 program's on PayTv for Thursday which means it drew less then 39'000.

That's the reason Foxtel are only broadcasting one game a week.

It's a little disappointing but at the same time it's never going to rate if people don't know about it. I think most of the people that did tune in will do so again, and hopefully it builds some momentum.

The clash with the NRL also wouldn't have helped. They have 2 more weeks of Thursday night games featuring top teams. After that there'll be no clash.

Any idea how the NRL match rated? Less then 39,000 might not be great numbers, but if Thursday night NRL isn't pulling any better then it's not so bad.

Yep it was terribly advertised, I know plenty of people that had no idea it was on but would've watched if they knew.

Besides the game of the week, are no other games going to be televised, even after the fact? I'm glad they're putting games up on YouTube, but some more camera angles and even some commentary would be great, and I suppose they'd need a TV crew for that.

For some reason eTAM the ratings software isn't showing a result for last Thursday's NRC. Weird. Anyway, we'll check next week.

Hasn't the Shute Shield been rating around 33k?

Played at the same time (on FTA) as many rusted on are already at School or Club venues for 1st XV or First Grade games, and therefore can't be part of the viewing audience.

Ok I am gunna say it. The biggest disappointment to me is not being able to see the NRC games live. I do hope these clubs get the streaming happening and we can find out where and when. Although I must admit I caught the Qld Country vs NSW Country stream because it was front page on the Reds website. I just hope we are given the chance to see them all.

All things considered it's a good sign for the comp if the biggest disappointment is not being able to get enough of it.
