sounds like the locals won't care too much but Perth and Gold Coast are their own worst enemies on getting games in the future:

Wobs were again simply lazy off the ball, no one in motion, no one running different lines, no one working hard to create support.

To look at how the above should be done, look at the ABs Vs Boks.

Decent running lines creates the Bok's try, great, hard work made McCaw's try

We see most kicks to Folau, and no one is working hard to get back the create options, the Boks kick the the ABs and two or three ABs backs are sprinting back to create support options or chase the kick.

We see Phipps continually providing quick service and the rest of the side is just struggling to provide one runner, no one running a dummy lines, nothing. At best we get a pop pass, between two forwards.

We have units like Hooper and Foley make breaks and have to slow down and struggle to find anyone to pass to

Beale comes on and the first thing was a great dummy inside line, unfortunately it was the last thing he did well

We must do better, no excuses, they have been together for weeks and they look lazy

This is a very young and inexperienced Wallaby side. Its easy to forget that now without Moore and AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)(on top of injuries to Genia, QC (Quade Cooper) & Pocock) that there is very little long term test experience throughout the side.
We lacked direction at times last night but we got home.
The most capped starting back on the field last night was Folau in his second year of rugby. Slipper at 25(I think) was our most experienced starting forward.
Maybe we need to cut them a little slack?
Link could also think about injecting a little more experience if possible.

He had a good game. Made the right decision. The scrum needs to be steady before putting it in. Phipps got pinged or an incorrect feed. Consistent ref. did a good job

We'll have to agree to disagree on that. He's the worst ref in international rugby. We were the beneficiaries last night and I'll take the win, but we could be on the receiving end of his incompetence. Reds supporters would no doubt remember his work in a Super match in 2013.

I think Jackson absolutely made the correct call at the last scrum. The idea of the ref calling the ball in is that it stops the teams pushing before the ball goes in, which is exactly what Argentina did.

If a team pushes before the ball comes in, aren't they just penalised for pushing before the ball comes in? The "yes 9" call is just another example of too many laws in rugby.

I'll take the win, but what a shambolic end to a test match.

The Gold Coast was always an odd place to play the match. If we are going to have a second venue in Qld, somewhere outside the SE corner might be a thought. (I'm not advocating tomorrow, but a long term strategy - aren't there JGC teams in North Qld?)

I agree with a few other posters that Canberra would have been a better option.

Newcastle or AAMI Park.

Sydneysiders would go to Newcastle unlike Brisbane with the Gold Coast.

Fuck there is some morons on here. How the hell is Hooper supposed to rack up a billion turn overs when we've got the fucking pill. We had 75% possession and territory on the first half for fucks sake.

The Brumbies really struggled to draw a crowd this season, even for a home final, so I'm not sure Canberra is the solution to the problem.

overall, no, but for this game, yes..it would have drawn a fair few people in from rural areas too, not just the excitement machines that are Canberrans..

But for a Wallabies game, against Argentina, you'd get a lot more than what the Gold Coast drew...........

Last week there were only 25,000 for the Springboks in Perth.... If you brought the Boks to Canberra you'd get the same number but with a full stadium.

Even the Rugby league test last year was a sellout, and the Raiders draw a lot less than the Brumbies.

Congrats to the Wallablies - a win is a win

Some players made really bad decisions at times.

Folau should not fucking kick, Phipps should learn to listen to captain (in respect of quick tap), bad missed tackles by Betham, Hooper and Foley, Foley not passing the pill- white line fever,To'omua's looping pass to the sideline, Hooper's penalty that fucked up a try - no fucking different to Simmons last week.

Simmo didn't leach penalties and had a pretty good game- about fucking time. Hodgo was great. The bench certainly didn't have the impact as against the Boks. Was disappointed that Horwill didn't stand out when he came on. I think that will be a missed opportunity for him.

Scrum with Slipper, TPN and kepu pretty damm awesome. The Argies belted both the AB's and Boks. Once TPN off then Slipper and then Keps it went to shit.

I really thought a penalty try was coming at the end and a drawn game would result.

We was lucky in the end particularly considering the possession we enjoyed.

It's kind of stupid saying Phipps should get Hooper's approval for quick taps. Kinda defeats the point of a quick tap doesn't it? I'm sure they speak pre-game if they should do quick taps and in what contexts. Unless something good always comes out of the quick taps Phipps will get criticised but don't see much praise for it when it comes off like against France.

Test rugby. We lost the first Bled because of poor decisions, and this one could have been the same. It was a close contest and 3 points from in front would have been invaluable.

From a percentage point of view it just shouldn't have been taken. Of course this view was confirmed because we didn't score !!!!! Much more valid argument if we had scored - but we didn't

Bledisloe #1 is a different context to this game. No point saying a quick tap is stupid because To'omua knocks it on. If he passes and someone had scored you'd be praising the quick tap yet Phipps has done the same thing. Take the good with the bad, at least they're having a go.
