Some serious warehousing of #9's at the Wicks if that is the case, and if other rumours are true.
Young Boileau who was 1st choice #9 for most of this year must be well out of favour.
They have apparently picked up the Newcastle lad from the Rams (Vasa Falaelli).
Last years Aust Schoolboys halfback (Short) was with their colts 1 this season and I'd imagine he would be looking for opportunities in Grade, cameos off the bench this season and regular starts in 2016.
Wonder if they have targeted Duffy (Joeys and 2014 Aust Schools #9) as well?

Not to mention Tim Donlan.
Anyone heard whether he's staying at the Wicks or heading back to the Rats (or somewhere else)?

I believe all that are on the inside realize syd uni is not the only choice for super teams and are moving accordingly, these players are on the inside in all these acadamies these days, they would all have planty of voices in their ear.

Havn't heard anything but wouldn't be surprised to see Donlan leave for another club seeing as he was out of favour for most of 2014. too good to be forgotten in a lower grade, should go and improve a club like norths or easts maybe

Perhaps the new coach (Shannon Fraser) has different game strategies to the outgoing Wade Kelly (is he going back to Scots full time?). I saw Boileau stand at 5/8 on many occasions, alternating with his role as half back. Fraser may have different ideas.

Donlan was pushing the proverbial **** up the hill last year with Wade Kelly's obvious favouritism for Boilleau. After a season off due to a shoulder recon Kelly should have invested some time into this kid instead of sending his confidence skyrocketing downward. He had an outstanding game against Manly in the semi. I can only imagine what could have been with a bit more time in first grade and a supportive coach. Whatever he chooses to do this year - good luck to him!!

Saw an advertisement on one of the Rugby recruitment sites for a Sydney club looking for a 9, any idea what club? Norths lacked one last year? Donlon should look into that, or even return to Warringah as Josh Holmes wasn't setting the world on fire at halfback and is probably more suited to 12 anyway.

Not sure I agree with your comment on Holmesy. He was outstanding for them when we played them and in my opinion, he is the heart and sole of that team. If you can get him off his game, you're 3/4 of the way there to rolling them. Good player.

Fair call, I only saw him in a couple of TV games and a few NRC games. Have always really rated him as a footballer but just never got a comfortable halfback vibe from him. His running game has always been outstanding though.

I'll throw another name into the #9 mix at the Wicks -- I notice Tony Luxford was in the 7s team which competed in Singapore recently. He was a regular / fringe first grader before joining the army. I think I heard he's been captaining the army team. Not sure of his availability in 2015.

Cant find a better thread for this.
Listening to Alan Jones (getting the background on the supposedly prank call, I promise) when Rebecca Wilson (sorry) said that the ARU have announced there will be no money for club rugby next year.
Any reliable confirmation of this?

I heard her say that as well and also the point that Fox are not happy with the ratings on the NRC and on one game they had 5,000 viewers.
No wonder they want to pull the pin.

SUFC players have confirmed that Talakai has signed with the Reds in some sort of capacity In 2015 and will be leaving Camperdown. Also looking very likely that Tom Carter and Tim Davidson will come out of retirement to wear the blue and gold hoops again in 2015.

Last night the Two Blues had a sponsors evening attended by around 25 sponsors and several board and players including Aussie Womens flanker Chloe Butler and injured Wallaby TPN. At the same time at MRSL Rugby Park, who was the other injured Wallaby forward training with over 100 Two Blues?
