GT were way over the top against BBC and Churchie as well. Running in like a rugby maul with each ball. I am told the Churchie complaint went as high as the HM.BGS clearlybthe bestbtime in comp. But who would have thought the kids at BBC would be 2 nd with 1 round to go. With 1 grade9, 1 grade10 boy and6 grade 11 boys in the team .And without a single import . Their 16a andb teams both won premierships as well. The 16 a BBC team thrashed the undefeatedTSS team in last round by 9 wickets. Toowong boys will be tough in2014. Imagine what they could do if they handed out their 1st cricket scholarship in110 years( like the others do )

I must say after watching the GT team on Saturday afternoon, I was appalled at the sportsmanship of the entire team. I believe the GT captain received a red card for the antics of the team which I believe is warranted. Amassing a total of a sub par 136 is no reason for a team to continually chatter and approach the opposition batsmen in a threatening manner. The BGS openers showed more class and determination than their counterparts and the better team won on the day and the year. Well done BGS.

could anyone in the know please post leading run scorers and wicket takers for the competition in 2013 please, or maybe from each individual school might be easier?

With 3 rounds to go in the 2014 GPS cricket, TSS is the only unbeaten team.

In the Churchie v TSS game in Round 6, Churchie top scorer was Tom Healy with 77 of 84 balls. Apparently, the proud dad, Ian, was helping out in the canteen. Good work!

Also pleasing is live scorecards on the CricHQ web-site - http://www.crichq.com/live_matches

eg.

There does not seem to be a forum for the Qld GPS cricket this year? I looks like the early prediction is a race between IGS 1st XI and TSS 1st XI?

Certainly - Churchie will not be in the running. Lots of young players gaining experience for the following couple of years bu the look of it. Although a good win against NC this week.

Yeah they did have a good win 2 from 4 according to me the log is after round 5:
Total Points /Team
25 TSS
17 IGS
15 GT
9 NC
15 ACGS
15 BSHS
16 TGS
12 BGS
3 BBC

Give or take 1 or 2 on the bonus points as the mycricket site does not have a ladder up yet. This puts TSS in a commanding lead again for the premiership 2 years in a row.
