I agree with most of your tips however in DIV 2 my specials are Lindfield over Forest and BOBS over UNSW. The BOBS backline have apparently been hitting the gym and are massive units.

Heavy d you are right. Bobs had a massive win over unsw today. Hills have really stepped up to div 2 this year.

In Div 1 - St Pats got absolutely flogged by Colleagues.

59-24

No wonder the Old Boys didnt want to sign that form - they knew that they couldn't attract anyone there unless they handed over the wads of $$$.

Not good the result for Petersham in colts. Getting over 100 points wracked up against them!

Anyone got any idea what is going on at Briars? They were very strong in div 2 not so long ago and now in div 4 and lost there opening 2 first grade games by 50+ each time!

I must say that I have been very impressed with the promoted teams (Brothers, Hills, Redfield) all three clubs have had great starts to the season which I think is fantastic!

Anyone know how Campbelltown and Hornsby are doing in their new competitions?

Brothers 36 Iggies 26

Messy game this one. Brothers scored 4 tries in first 25 mins and Iggies just couldn't catch up even though end of each half they were coming home strong.

Other results for the day:
2s Iggies 7-5 Brothers
Cs Iggies 38-10 Brothers
3s Iggies 19-27 Brothers
4s Iggies 22-10 Brothers
5s Bye (No Brothers 5th grade)

Hope the young fella in colts is alright from Brothers. He was in a really bad way it seemed with an arm injury? Ambulance looked after him and took him off but didn't seem good.

Well done to Brothers who are leading the comp so far & appear to have recruited well with a few new names in 1st grade:

Tagivetaua, Jone
Delaibau, James
Vuadrev, Manasa
Vuli, Jofiliti
Tuibure, Semesa
KimKini, Sitiveni
Vosaicake, Timoci

Ran touch for the Renegades 2nds and 1sts yesterday against Blacktown.

Ref in 2nds specifically asked me to get in-goal whenever either team got within 5 metres, then completely fucking ignored what I said anyway.

Anyway the 2nd grade game was a bit error-strewn, but 1st Grade was a fairly classy affair, the home side winning it with an injury-time try to come from 3 points down.

Lot of very tired cuzzies out there too I might add :)

I've been approached to co-coach 2nd Grade. Wife not amused when I brought this up at breakfast.

I watched the Petersham Colts game and they weren't as bad as the score could indicate.
They look like a young side with not a lot of rugby skills.
Despite that they keep trying and didn't give up.

Fourth Division sounds like it is going to be a cracker of the season. Any update on the major injury from the Renegade's prop from last week?

Crashy, The BOBs apparently gave Balmain a touch up in the trials and their win over last years Premiers Newport in the 1st round was reportedly solid. Think they'll definately be semis contenders in 1st grade.

Not sure what happened to Lindfield who got walloped in the higher grades by Forest. I thought they may have given Forest a nudge but were beaten in both 1s & 2s easily.

No idea. I'm not suggesting anything dodgy is happening, I just thought it was strange when I saw that article. Main point is that he is playing.

Interesting take on it HeavyD.

We are all for trialing against other Divisions but you forgot to mention that our 1st & 2nd grade teams had training & a trial that morning & then beers & a BBQ before the other trials began.

None of Balmain's top 2 teams played in the trials vs BOB's. BOB’s 1st grade played our 3rd grade, BOB’s 2nd grade played our 4’s etc.

BOB’s played well & it was a good day but it was hardly a towel up.

With Redfield gone its looking very open Rouse Hill have recruited well and could be in the mix come finals. I've heard Blacktown lost some of their stronger firsts to Parramatta will be interesting when we play them in a couple of weeks should have somewhere near a full deck for the first time this season
