The AICES boys are going into camp before the first games. Having been at the trials, a very strong side was picked with many players involved with previous rep experience including CSRU, Junior gold, SJRU. There are a couple who are playing 1st grade colts in Sydney and some playing with 1st grade mens in the country. It will be very hard for them against CHS who have many times more to choose from and the ISA who have a weekly weekend based comp but they will soldier on until the final whistle.

Who are the boys playing colts and grade country rugby ?

AICES players playing Senior Football in Sydney or NSW Country Zone competitions:

Tim ANSTEE is playing with Eastwood Colts, mainly Colts 2 but with a Colts 1 start and a cameo of the bench as a Lock.

Jock BARRY is playing with Maitland Premier Colts in Newcastle Zone rugby.

Riley CROCOMBE is playing for Gosford Rugby Club in the Central Coast Zone U19 competition.

Isaac RABUATOKA is playing with Parramatta Colts 1 as a Centre.

Jayden STOKES is playing with Northern Suburbs Colts, mainly with Colts 2 but with a Colts 1 start and some cameos off the bench as an outside back.

Connor WINCHESTER is playing with Lennox Head Club in the Far North Coast Zone First Grade competition as a Flyhalf.

Any others?

The Parkes boys play Colts (20s) in CWRU from the bench. Not quite the same as playing Colts in Sydney, though.

EDIT: I got into trouble for saying they're off the bench. Apparently, they are frequent starters.

Jacob Barnes - plays first grade mens in the Illawarra District Rugby Union as fullback.

Dane Bowen - plays second grade mens in Illawarra district as number 8

Jacob Barnes also previously represented Country Schools on one of their development tours and played in the Junior Gold Cup for Illawarra.

Dane Bowen isn't playing senior club rugby this season, played last year for the Shoalhaven U17's in the Illawarra Junior Comp.

The 16's also have Ruben Vermark, a boy from Shellharbour AC who made the NSW Gold squad U17 team.

Henry Fuimoano - Former Penrith & Parramatta District Rugby representative. Playing for South Sydney Rugby League and made possibles v Probables match for final selections for NSW Rugby League U16's in 2014. Back playing at Penrith colts too. Bit of a weapon - Not sure where AICES are playing him (he was a No.8 in his younger days) but if he performs he will go close to NSW schools!

he is an amazing player. He dominated the AICES trials for the CSSA team.

He played number 7. Ryan McCracken played number 8(your son), Aron Peters(a shadow for the AICES squad) played 6.

Dane Bowen is also a regular 8 by all accounts. Ryan said he played as a prop. I suppose the better forwards in club footy gravitate towards 7 or 8, so you see a lot of guys at rep level who usually play there.

I imagine CSSA's was a pretty good back row, too. I can also confirm Aron has been called into the AICES squad.
