Jesus sounds bad. From a tackle? Hope he got a shitload of painkillers.

Tackled just short of the line as he was running full tilt. Fell awkwardly and tackler landed on his leg.

EDIT: All players from both sides gathered around and gave him a round of applause as he was being loaded into the ambulance. Nice touch from the Rats players. The spirit of rugby lives.

Good news and all, but I can't quite get my head around why Sony would do this. Are people going to buy a Guy Sebastian album because the record label is sponsoring a rugby comp?

Jim Handlin(a first and second grade hooker for the last 4 or 5 seasons at Gordon) is Denis Handlin's son.

Denis has generously arranged the sponsorship between Sony and Gordon for some time.

Game stopped at 28:54 minutes in the telecast if you have recorded it.

Terrible looking injury to Kotoni Ale. His season will be over, and his presence will be missed on field for the MMM.

Series linked recordings will only show the match until 4 minutes into the second half before they timed out.

Crowd reported at 7000. MMM supporter and NSW Premier Mike Baird was watching the match at the Village Green.

Just watching the 7mat footage - ugly.
First day night rugby game.
Thoughts go out to Kotoni - good hard sportsman.

Just realised I didn't post my tips for this round.

They were:

Hobbits by 10-15

Randi-Wix by 15-20

Eastwood v Norths score is a big surprise and things getting worse by the week for the Emus. I'm thinking they must be struggling to keep players after these score blow outs. At least their colts 2 had a win.

Yeah huge surprise, Norths had been in good form and that was one of their stronger sides this year. Any reports on what happened? Plus Eastwood lost Snowden.

Gregor George Cup (Club Championship) Watch:
A fair way to go and there has been some minor jockeying in the table but the usual suspects continue to consolidate their lead at the top of the table.

There will be further adjustments being made to the table after the postponed games are played over the June Long Weekend.

There are a maximum of 215 points available to a club each week, based on all 7 club teams winning with a 4 try BP and the target to win is >3000 points which was achieved by 3 clubs last year. In 2014 the difference between 1st and 2nd was only 33 points, with 3rd only 52 points further back.

Eastwood, 1766 points **
Sydney University, 1640 points *
Randwick, 1626 points ***
Manly, 1477 points **
Northern Suburbs, 1286 points **
Eastern Suburbs, 1141 points **
Southern Districts, 1084 points
Gordon, 1062 points *, ***
West Harbour, 1041 points
Warringah, 1032 points **
Parramatta, 568 points **
Penrith, 92 points

How the Club Championship table is calculated.
The competition points from the individual competitions are multiplied by the following factors and then added together.
First Grade - 15
Second Grade - 8
Third Grade - 5
Fourth Grade - 4
Colts 1 - 6
Colts 2 - 3
Colts 3 - 2

The 33 point difference between Gold and Silver last year could have been made up from an extra 2 BP in Shute Shield and an extra BP in Colts 2, or an extra victory without a BP in 2nd Grade and an extra BP in Colts 3.

Notes:
* Points yet to be allocated from washed out games in Grade 1-4 for Sydney University vs Gordon. Games are being played over June Long Weekend.

** Points to be allocated for Washed out Games in Round 7 with the games to be played over the June Long Weekend:
  • Northern Suburbs vs Manly (Grades 1-4 and Colts 1-3)
  • Parramatta v Warringah (Colts 1-3)
  • Eastwood v Eastern Suburbs (Grade 3-4) To be played on Sunday 1 June
*** Round 11, Randwick vs Gordon (Grade 1 - 4) to be played on Sunday 1 June

Surprised 7TWO went beyond 5pm. Maybe the ratings are decent?

Added to the flexibility that goes with being on the 2nd channel. No news committments to worry about - just push things back a little. They got plenty of adds in during the injury break and a few good interviews as well.

Full marks to Channel 7.

Has anyone worked out if it can be seen off the internet the following day, and can provide the link.

Watched what I recorded when I got home, well done and has progressed well since round one.

Good rugby, great crowd, great result, great for our game.

Kotoni the boys did it for you
