Good luck to all the GF teams across the grades and colts.
I agree with Dave -- let's hope rugby is the winner.
And we don't have any interference from the weather man.

Weather - I’m hoping the officials & players player flowing ruby – it’s like the lull before the storm in here, all the regular contributors are very quite – including me.

Last time these 2 sides met in a Grand Final 26,000 turned up to watch, allot of those supporters and players are still around – get out to Concord.

Struth, Dave, not sure that I could stand the pain!!!

I flew back from Hong Kong for the last one. Oh, how it hurt!!

But I was there in 1999! Great year for us, we got married, we won the cricket snd rugby world cups as well as the big one, our first ever first grade premiership after a mere 50 years.

It’s fair to say they’re getting excited about the Shute Shield big dance over on the northern beaches.

The Marlins haven’t won a Grand Final since 1997, and in a good omen, it was against Eastwood. Their coach Damien “Turtle” Cummins played that day at hooker and even scored a try.

If they win at Concord Oval, Cummins will become the first man since 1950 to have played in and coached a premiership-winning Manly side.

The links keep on coming: the Marlins coach in 1997 was Tim Lane. His son Sam is Manly’s no. 10 this season.

Manly have been a powerhouse this season and even Geoff Toovey will want an investigation if they don’t take it to the reigning premier Woodies.

Toovs told our northern beaches snout: “Any time a Manly side makes a grand final is cause for celebration. They’ve had a great year and hopefully they cap it off with a win. Here’s hoping for a Marlins-Sea Eagles double this weekend.”

Is the #22 for the Woodies First Grade team the same Arthur Currie that went to NRL for the Under 20 Carmakers Cup after he graduated from St Gregory's Campbelltown in 2013?

Reminder to those with Foxtel IQ's that you will need to reprogramme your machine if you want to record the Grand Final tomorrow.

The previous series link from Channel 7Two hasn't automatically switched to Channel 7 on my machine.

I think so. Currie is an unusual spelling, and Arthur is not a very common name these days?

Yeah the Marlins Forth Graders BOOM BOOM - great work today.

#dothebusiness #nothinginthetank #believe

And the Boys;

1.Villi Vaka
One of the competition's most destructive ball-runners look for his subtleties in ball-playing.

2.Dane Le Rougetel:
Manly's 'Club Player of the Year' is also a PE teacher when he's not scoring tries or in the gym.

3.Jimmy Gentle:
Contrary to the name - if the skin-head doesn't give it away watch him during the game.

4.Carlos Plate-Stanley
Hailing from Paraguay look for his lethal pick-and-drives and powerful running game.

5.James Watson
A leader and backbone of the side 'Watto' picks apart opposition line-outs like a scientist.

6.Mark Watson
Gets through a mountain of work with his strong ball carries and bone-rattling defence.

7.Josh Littlewood
A 7 who genuinely 'Walks his Talk' and dominates the breakdown. Tough as anything but can mix it with the backs speed wise.

8.Manuel Castagnet
This Argentinian #8 is as scary as he looks. Playing through numerous injuries 'Manny' refuses to let his mates down.

9.Nic Smarty
Rugby Gods wrote the definition of a cheeky halfback and 'Smarty' oozes every word of it. Sharp around the ruck with a huge future ahead of him.

10.Cam Duffus
Mr perfectionist guides this team around with a calmness and his reliable left boot. The competition's top point scorer.

11.Scott Clemmett
Over 200 grade games and 99 tries. Need we say more?

12.Bergo
The 'Shiraz' gets better with age. This team's fearless leader - leaves the Club's Vice President tag when he walks on the field.

13.Diego Argana
The Captain of Paraguay's National Rugby team is explosive, hard hitting and lightning fast - causes havoc for opposition backlines. A celebrity back in his homeland.

14.Jack Eades
Forget the number on his back, "Wombat" is one of the hardest hitting players on the field - and always finds his way to the try-line.

15.Joe Eki Metuisela:
A wealth of experience 'Eki/Superstar' controls the game from the back with a calmness and touches of individual brilliance.
