This match will be the first one in which the Horan-Little Shield is up for grabs. Good of the Rising to put it up for an away game, which they didn't have to do.

As for the Country team, interesting to see Tuttle over Gale there, and also Paia'aua on the bench.

No Tongan Thor yet. I assume the likes of Cameron Bracewell, James Turner and Lolo. I hope Country don't have another injury plagued season!!

Samo and CFS will need to stand up in this one. I doubt either of them say a whole heap (both strike me as the quiet type) but as long as they lead by action, there looks to be some talent in the squad that can follow them.

I will be keen to see if the Rising will be able to field as strong a team as last year.

Certainly not going for the best team at all costs like last season.

Like it though. It's a capable side. Would have perhaps thought that Engo would have got first go at center, and Ili or Marsters would have got the bench spot, but I'm not psychic.

feeling a little more confident for QLD Country now.

The JJT v Placid battle will be great to watch.

I wonder if they are mindful of last year where they got to the Semis and lost key players and had to thrust in a number of untried players.

Still a good team.

It's not going to be vs Brisbane City 14, but its a side that should be capable of winning the game.

Are the bonus points still within 8 points defence, 3 more tries attack?

Very excited to see how Sione Tuipulotu fares, hopefully we're witnessing the beginnings of a very exciting and prosperous professional career.

No Toby or PAE sees the scrum significantly weaker than last season. Losing Metcher in the first 4 minutes can't have helped either.

Not a real lot of difference between primary and alternate jumpers for both teams.
